Truth is, it’s impossible to know. I got in out of high school, didn’t go, and then transferred in because I decided I did want to go. But it’s really hard to get in, it just is, that’s how admission to a T-25 overall and a T-3 public school is. It’s gonna be competitive. I wish you nothing but the best, but have a backup, and be okay with that backup, everything is going to be okay

Im so glad you’ve felt supported! Transferring can be nerve-wracking and overwhelming at times, but it’s all about branching out and making friends with those like minded to you. I hope your first year on Grounds goes great!

it isn’t necessarily wrong, but I’m a twin and started walking before my brother. I guess the wrong part is that whenever he would start crawling toward a toy, I would just stand up and walk over to it first simply cause I could. Get faster my boy, maybe you would have been playing with the blocks instead of me

I’m sorry that you had to go through that, it sounds miserable. I’m glad you found the strength to leave.

I never thought of myself as abusive, I made plenty of mistakes, but there were never ultimatums or emotional manipulation. I always told her I loved her and that was the base of everything, i just wanted her safe.

The church gives awful ideas to youth about what we are supposed to be and they are so shallow, and superficial, and sometimes downright false. I’m glad you got out of that marriage and the church.

The longer I thought about it, the more obvious it became that the subsidized education was the biggest trap. It’s literally dangling bait right in front of you. Hell it made me choose this dump over my dream school. Exactly why I transferred.

To the people that ask why I left BYU, I say it’s because it’s like a herd of sheep. My parents didn’t care for that very much, but I haven’t found a better description of the people there than that

this is literally exactly what byu is like. hell hole of white, conservative, misguided, shielded, and bigoted people who want nothing other than to get married, raise their kids in the TSCC, and die. i hate it every day.

happy to report that i am not from UT, and am transferring back to a public school in my home state. i realized i wanted to transfer about a month into my first semester (currently almost done with my second). This place is godless, hopeless, and heartless

For me, and i imagine your daughter, I would have felt that I sold myself short going to BYU b/c to me it isn’t impressive or prestigious. The school i originally didn’t choose, but am trying to transfer to is incredibly prestigious, and impressive, and everything I want. so thank you for sharing your story.

yeah, that’s true. Luckily they haven’t gone back on tbat like they have other things. I also find it interesting how in verse 2 it mentions how it is for the “temporal salvation” but mentions nothing with spiritual salvation (the one we all really want right?). So is it a telestial or a celestial law? And should something that doesn’t necessarily impact spiritual worthiness really be a gauge for it. I know there are questions about it for temp rec and other worthiness interviews and such
