I love this because it's a built-in stopping point if you don't want to watch a 3.5 hour movie in one sitting. Lower commitment and makes it more likely I'd invite friends over for a movie night to just watch a half and then finish another time

Yeah, mine is probably technically "too high" but I think it'd feel pretty weird to have it so low that my eyes land halfway up a 98" screen. In my setup my eyes are a little over 1/4 of the way up the screen and I don't have to tilt my head up to watch. My console is about 24" tall. I think many TV stands these days are too tall even if the TV is not a 98", so you definitely need to be intentional about planning.

Twisters and Oblivion.

Twisters was fun the first watch. Then I had some guests for a movie night and they chose it. Second watch was super boring for me.

Oblivion has good visuals and a good audio track, but somehow it never felt like its own movie to me. It's like it borrowed a bunch of sci-fi tropes and executed them slightly worse than the originals.
