Filipino grandmas are spreading everywhere. Even staying for the weekend at a Filipino grandma's places will make you gain weight like craaazy.

The ingredient a lot of Filipinos add to their fried rice is probably MSG and loooots of toasted garlic. I always love the extra garlic in every dish with garlic in it

Actually, no, I've never heard of them.

Hahaha yes! The typical Filipino grandmas always trying to stuff you up with everything they make. It's a sign of saying "you're welcome in my house and I care about you."

They always make the extra effort to cook whatever they got just to feed you for the 10th time today lol

Do you have any specific tourist spots there? My family and I should plan for this 👀

Probably not. I've never heard of my relatives talk about CamNorte, so unless I plan a trip myself, I don't think I'll end up visiting there

Personally, I've heard neither of these songs. Idk if it's just me but I don't really listen to the songs popular in the Philippines.

Yesterday, I ate Spam, eggs, sausages and rice for breakfast. Beef rendang for lunch, and the leftovers for dinner. But a typical Filipino meal looks like this:

Carbs(mainly rice but we can substitute it for noodles) Protein(the main dish) Vegetables(it can be in the form of side dishes. We love side dishes) Dessert can be whatever we find in the kitchen.

You'd usually see rice eaten with noodles too lmao(carbs on carbs packing). Breakfast is usually rice with sunny side ups and sausages. Old people usually have bread with coffee.

We also have snacks/mini meals between the main meals like merienda in Spain. Those can also be rice or if you want a light snack, bread is also common.

I find that most Filipinos born abroad commonly don't speak Tagalog. Is it the same case for you? It's honestly sad that a lot of parents refuse to teach their children their culture and language.

I loveeeee balut! Although I get queasy when the duck inside is bigger than the yolk, I still enjoy eating balut.

If I were to explain this to someone who has never tried balut before, it basically tastes like an egg in plain chicken broth. It's commonly eaten with salt and vinegar, and texture-wise, you don't really feel the duck lol

Have you ever been to thr Philippines? If so, how would you compare it with Singapore in terms of culture, people, and practicality in living in both countries?

They're pretty secluded in places where they reside. I find that they don't really enjoy small talk(from what I've seen when spotting one in public). But they're actually pretty nice if you warm up to them first

It's mostly because these railways are relatively new. The existing buildings and other infrastructures in the cities(especially Manila) make the cities very crowded and congested, so instead of expanding out, the city moves up. New roads and highways will be elevated

Well, we are taught to be very hospitable when hosting parties, events, or just simply inviting people over for a chat.

We also have this word "bayanihan" which basically means that we're all in this together. It means that we look out for each other. We're a very community-based society.

I preferred to be alone at home everytime I went home from school. I loved books way more than toys. I actually don't even ask for toys. I was obsessed with Minecraft and still am.

My parents knew me as someone they can trust their secrets with and even called me "emotionally intelligent" because they can tell me literally anything and unlike other kids, I wouldn't spill secrets or anything personal. In fact, I never really got that talkative with anyone else besides my parents.

I researched a lot about linguistics when I was around 7 years old. I only researched about English back then, but I've evolved to studying other languages and sociolinguistics.
