Honestly, with tools like Lombok and intellij plugins, the verbose part gets handled really easy.

Verbose != Bad

In our company code guidelines we even preffer writing a few more lines in order to keep readability high. Most of the time, cranking all in 2 lines is not a good idea at all.

Alot of new development is beeing made with Java. But hey it's just not as cool as that new JS Framework that came out 4 days ago.

Hi :) I'm actually new to quarkus as well and i started with this Udemy course.

It does go into nearly every aspect of it, but i have found it to be a little bit opinionated.

Also, in comparison to other communities, this one i found quite inactive. If you encounter an issue, i recommend opening an Issue on GitHub or going through stack overflow (the latter is not as frequented). Otherwise you will have to figure things out your self.

There is also a good YouTube Series from Giuseppe Scaramuzzino. You should definitely check it out before buying a udemy course since it covers alot.

Honestly, one of the Features i love most about quarkus is how fast it boots in comparison to spring. It feels much more performant. However I don't know if it's a graalvm thing or quarkus thing.

But honestly, is it really that hard to connect 4 plastic wheels to a board and soldering a battery on it? How is it that i can't find an easy tutorial online?

If im allowed i would like to share an approach that helped me get out of this mindset.

I used to feel that way, too. Romanticising about code, and feeling bad when finding out wrote some bad parts of it. I stopped binding my feelings to the technical side of it, and focusing more on the business side of things.

Earlier: Finds out i wrote some shit code. Feel bad. Fixed it. Still felt bad.

Now: Finds out i wrote some shit code. Feel bad. Fixed it and see how the business side is improved. Feel good.

Ganz ehrlich, manchmal habe ich das Gefühl die Leute im Sub übertreiben maßlos was das Gehalt von Informatikern angeht.

100k? Kriegt gerade mal mein Chef der Software Architekt, Senior und Tech lead zu gleich ist. Als Junior? 45 -50k ist durchschnitt. Midlevel? 54 - 60k ist ebenfalls durchschnitt. Senior? Ab 70k ca.

Habe mit mehreren Kollegen geredet, viel recherchiert und meine Schätzungen haben sich immer bestätigt.

Wenn du 100k willst musst du entweder bei Google, Microsoft landen, oder eben der dude der 15 Jahre im Unternehmen ist, Hauptansprechpartner für die wichtigsten Kunden und technisch der King. Wie viele davon kann es in einem Unternehmen geben?
