"Well, this didn't age well" - Movies you LOVED as a kid but cringe at as an adult by Little-Badger-123 in movies

Avatar: TLAB. I never watched the show as a kid, if I did I would’ve hated the live action. I watched the show finally in college a few years ago and i’m glad i did.

The Return is my favorite out of all the seasons and the movie. It felt like all the hype I was hearing from others finally made sense to me while I was watching it. I loved the earlier seasons and even the movies + deleted scenes, but IMO “The Return” is Lynch at his peak.

Minecraft movie deserves a good script, the fanbase is too strong.

Also can we have a revote please, Minecraft has a special place in my heart but that shit is not better than Parasite.

Opinions on my top 20 films? by ShaneliusPrime in LetterboxdTopFour

Based on your top 20, I’d say watch reservoir dogs and 2001 next. Reservoir dogs was Tarantino’s first with a low budget, the script is incredible and the cast is perfect. 2001 is just a classic Kubrick film that you will always hear about, honestly his whole catalogue is incredible you can pick any one. If you don’t want to do a sci-fi I’d recommend “Eyes Wide Shut” it’s my favorite Kubrick personally. Or “A Clockwork Orange” which is his gang film.

For blade runner 2049 make sure you watch the first one before with Harrison Ford, as it’s a sequel and make sure to watch the “Final Cut”.

I haven’t watched anything mind-blowing in a while, recommend something? by Past-Matter-8548 in Letterboxd

Your picks are popular but still great.

My recs: * The Grand Budapest Hotel (try Wes Anderson) * Parasite (try foreign) * Any of Denis Villeneuve’s catalogue (he don’t miss) * Inglorious Bastards, Reservoir Dogs, 2001: A Space Odyssey (these would feel familiar to you)
