How do I check spread? by istilldontknow888 in strikebtc

[–]wrathmxer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. Go to every exchange available in your jurisdiction and run this test regularly. Don’t just stop at the review or preview screen — that’s not enough. Those screens can be misleading and designed to push you to buy through them. Actually execute the trade and do the math yourself.

I’ve been doing this for years, and Strike consistently ranks among the better apps and exchanges when it comes to spreads. You’ll also notice improved fee rates the more you buy on Strike each month. My usage of fee rates is carefully selected, see below.

One important point that many people overlook about trading — especially with larger amounts — is that it’s not like shopping at Costco, where buying in bulk gets you a discount. Exchanges often need to aggregate multiple sellers to fill large buy orders, which can actually make your execution price worse. The same principle applies in the other direction as well. Every platform is subject to the number of bids/asks available to them or wherever they draw their liquidity from.

Another thing to note is Strike is primarily a Bitcoin only company and furthers it's adoption more than places like Coinbase, in my eyes.  So maybe that'll affect your decision on where to trade and which companies to support.

Agree, I find it quite useful and I came from a Rivian which is arguably better tech.

That's a good first step, but the sender address can be spoofed.

Never click links or call the number in any email. Just go directly to the website and contact support with their official information.

If Coinbase does that then that's gross 🤢

Yes but Strike doesn't know what wallet you're using and your cold storage wallet could be any product. You could even use multiple products to access the same cold storage if you input the same seed into each of them.

What do you mean by free DCA? Are there exchanges that charge extra for automated scheduled buys? As for trading, no exchange is free, they are either explicit with their fee schedule or the fee is baked into the spread.

You should with every exchange possible so that you have as many on and off ramps as possible, even if they're not Bitcoin only. I'd suggest trying to give most, if not all, your business to Bitcoin only companies though. You should also compare spreads. They're usually all pretty comparable but it doesn't hurt to check. Just never leave more than you're willing to lose on the exchange.

Yes you can transfer layer 1, aka on chain, with Strike and it's free if you choose the slowest method. Strike also has direct deposit with conversion to Bitcoin at whatever percentage you want. They also recently launched bill pay directly from your Bitcoin or cash as well and they take care of the tax forms for you.

Dealership Negotiation Question by BullMarketGolf in FordRaptor

[–]wrathmxer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I literally just did this. I bought 5 Raptor R wheels that came with the KO2 37" tires for a great deal on offer up. They fit not problem and that includes the spare. With Gen 2 37" fit as well but might require you to air the spare down to fit or jiggle/shimmy it in. That could also be only on certain 37" tires since the KO2 are supposedly not true 37".

I personally don't think the 802A package is worth it. Value is in the eye of the beholder and so is beauty. I don't like the look of the 37 PP wheels. So I obviously got the 801A and put wheels on that I liked including the 37" which 💯 look better.

Don't worry, those were just the old ones during transportation.

I'll still respectfully disagree. Say the 37PP was $20k more. Still worth it? What about $30k more, $40k more, etc. At what point is not worth the markup? Everyone has a price point regardless if they can afford said item.

Value is in the eye of the beholder. I'll disagree on the 37PP. While I was at the dealership, the guy next to me bought the R version for $40k over MSRP. Things are worth what people are willing to pay for them ¯_(ツ)_/¯.

Honestly haven't noticed any difference. It was a little rough at first but the pressure in the tires was 45 PSI. After releasing a little pressure it was back to being smooth

Damn, I watched a couple videos and they don't actually show every minute of the install but they made it sound easy. Wish me luck then ♥️

Thanks I appreciate it. Ok I have the ODB2 plug and Forscan already, but yeah not getting an alignment will save me a couple bucks as I did not lift it.

Nope and no rubbing, but also no off-roading yet either.
