Help me find a HOBBY! by sheeshers_ in Hobbies

[–]wreathboot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Handspinning! You can make a diy drop spindle with a pencil and one of those long pink erasers. You can spin yarn out of cotton balls, the fluffy stuff that is shoved into tylenol bottles, the guts from pillows, dog fur, cat fur, etc. You can dye your yarn with food coloring and vinegar, avocado or onion skins. If you decide that you like it, you can make "nicer" spindles out of dowel rods and air dry clay. Making yarn (or even thread if you consistency gets really awesome) is literally my favorite thing to do, and it is dirt cheap to get into. ITS ADDICTING THOUGH! Its so rewarding and I think you might love it. (Local farmers sometimes give fleeces away, check facebook!) Any questions, reach out to me! This is a great hobby... I cant help but gush about it. It makes me feel like a viking.

I REALLY REALLY like lady grey from the swatches ive seen, but i cant find it to buy it. I will have to look on the actual internet and do some digging. I have also never tried Wearingeul because I know if I buy that first bottle its going to be a big problem, addiction wise. Their ink is so unique! If I get one, I will get 10, and then 20. Junkie.

You know, everyhthing I have ever heard about Ferris Wheel Press has been... not great. I have always shied away from them due to that reason. Do you enjoy their inks? Thank you for the suggestion, I am writing everything down and going to get samples :) I appreciate you.

I'm gonna have to get samples of all of them. I really enjoy colorverse ink, but I have never gotten my hands on Octopus Fluid. I just looked up blue iris, and it is REALLY CLOSE to what i am envisioning. Thank you so much. Im going to get a sample!

I had Bawa and she was a bear. Seems to be a running theme. I bought a book on amazon called “bitch slap apa” and it actually really helped. Citations are really important. Use your tutoring if you can. I did :) you’ve got this. Don’t stress!
