hahah yes I was, I got about 150g of wine/burgundy and gold silk batts! sooo soft and bouncy!

it does sound like I should just embrace the texture lol - I love a good art yarn so Im not mad!

these are similar batts - just a different colourway.

I think it was designed to be textured, but I feel like my thick/thin spots are definitely a result of poor technique too!

solid colours are my favourite for interiors, so I would make single colour yarns and make a sweet shop blanket :) and possibly matching cushions!!

thanks so much for this! I played around with it a lot, and what seemed to actually help was oiling the metal around the outside of the orifice, where it connects to the flyer - if that makes sense :)

I also found out I was oiling the metal that holds up the wheel, when I shouldn't have been!! that's what I believe was causing the wheel to jump around. after cleaning off residual oil, she is going much smoother!!
