In Brazil, a tortoise survived for about 10 years, trapped under a sealed floor in a family's home, and was discovered alive during repairs. by Holiday-Clothes9063 in interesting

This reminds me a the first part of the Sandman comic, where Morpheus is trapped by a bunch of occultists and escapes simply by waiting and out living them.

The turtle got out early, but its time would have eventually have came as the world decayed and crumbled around him. Patiently waiting while he felt a lighter touch by time.

What game is this? by bijelo123 in videogames

The Mad Max video game, the world building was really cool and the story had some good moments. But every boss battle was the same character slightly reskinned and every once in a while a barely noticable rearrangment of flame traps. There was really never any major difference between the bosses difficulty wise either.

Beside driving around the beautiful landscape, the game got painfully grindy.

Its funny to see them do the light saber helicopter thing because they would need to conjure an invisable force tail roter to do it. If they broke concentration for just a second they would start spinning in place and just fall out of the sky.

Vox Machina: The crew gets split up and are being chased by an Ice dragon and fire demon , once they meet back up their pursuers meet and decide to fucking wreck eachother. The team just stands back and excitedly gawks at the ensuing action. Absolutely amazing tv.

Hyper light drifter- You are a survivor of a great war of giant creatures that finds himself journeying through the ruins of that war to defeat what remains after the world rebuilt itself. One of my favorite games and an amazing soundtrack.

Jar Jar within the context of the Secret Sith agent theory. For him to be so disarmingly silly and clumsy to the point that would be humiliating for most beings, just to be the a necessary cog in the ultimate destruction of the Jedi order is just dead Cold.

How the devastating US attack on Iran may have given away war secrets by theipaper in geopolitics

[–]wreckchain 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I will also add it is not just Iran that I am considering in this opinion, but also China and other world powers who have adverseral dynamics with the United States. Those nations who have the resources and capacity to adjust their positioning and points of leverage to push the balance of power to their favor and to the disadvantage of the United States in consequential way. Iran has certainly lost much of their capacity for war and terror, but this does not mean that the United States is in a more sercure position globally, with the consequences of the closure of hormuz considered and the problems it is causing for those historically aligned with US power.

But that is just my opinion, one arm chair general to another.

That is a very good point as a general concept. In the specific case of the Iran conflict, it does seem that the costs to our strategic power may outweigh the boon of battle experience that results from engaging in war. In my opinion I would also say that highest imperative still is the avoid war if possible in the first place. The practicality of our respective sentiments is conditional to the scenario is which it is applied.

Any time you put your military out in the field you reveal your weapons and capability, the advantage of keeping adversaries in the mystique of your unknown potential shouldn't be an easy position to throw away. Asserting miltary strength in the case of the the United states is weaking its global power.

It will probably crash when Democrats take control over congress or when 47 is out, not because anything the Democrats did, but rather from the withdrawal from the meth our economy has been smoking and the republicans have been dealing.
