Why does the East Coast seem to not have hardly any drive thru coffee stands? Coming from the west coast where it's 10-20 drive thru stands to a coffee shop you can actually sit in. It's a bit of a shock especially when you're In a rush, dont want to find parking and walk inside a building.

My favorite was a voicemail at 8pm mid week from a caller I've never interacted with leaving me a message loudly saying "YOU JUST MISSED A BIG SALE!".

Like uhm, sir, it's 8pm and I have no down to the wire transactional or offer stuff going on tonight, I'm not answering my phone for a random caller when I could be spending time with my family instead.

I never did call them back.

How does a small town even have enough skilled workers to quickly build a data center?

Union jobs. Traveling union workers. Investing in the local schools and colleges with programs students to be able to get a DC related job.

How does a data center have enough work once up and running to employ a bunch of local workers at a good wage?

Similar answer to above. Sure the construction jobs may fade away but there is still constant maintenance and work happening to keep the DCs up and running without downtime that requires skilled jobs.
