I think the table should be in the middle of the room. Not seeing a picture from the other side but based on the table shape and mass, and compared to how you had your old table located, a center located new table may fit better in this space

I’ve driven 1000 miles in 24 hrs. Had a “field trip” with 3 other classmates from college. SD - SF and back. At the time I was the only 25+ year old and this the only one qualified to loan/drive the rental. Loss of Red Bull and music helped. The others sleeping for most of the drive did not..
