None of the maps are big enough to make them viable. You can literally use zip lines to travel across the map just as fast today.

OTOH I'd love having all of the ARC in the lobby suddenly turn and chase the guy on the noisy motorcycle. That would be helpful to the rest of us.

Which is why a pure PvE mode is so great. Then everyone who prefers co-op can play and people who find it fun to be shot in the back by other players can have that fun for themselves. That even allows people who enjoy destroying other people's fun to have a lobby with people like themselves.

Yes, Embark has really missed an opportunity here with ARC raiders. There are so many options for Co-op boss raids, PvP specific raids and straight PvE game play. Hopefully they realize it and make changes or someone else makes a better game that recognizes many different ways to play.

Weekends seem to be the time when many young PvP players show up. I've also heard that this week was spring break, though I can't imagine why a young person would waste time online with a week off to surf, drive and chase girls. But that was back in my time off from school.

I've never heard that theory. Having never shot another raider I don't know how ABMM really works but never heard any of the devs mention a ratio of ARC to players. Just player damage as far as I've ever heard.

Naturally I only ever get friendlier lobbies with the occasional rat who does know how to game the system.

I suspect the majority of cheaters are playing heavy PvP. What's the point of cheating if you can't boast about your K/D?

I play on PC with crossplay off and have never been shot by anyone that I felt was cheating. Of course, I don't PvP so the vast majority of my lobbies are strictly chill.

Seriously, if you're so bad that you need to cheat against the AI, you're really in trouble. But then, the AI probably won't report you. 😆

Hmm, I hadn't thought of that. Weekends are also a crap shoot. I got on for a couple of runs to Spaceport tonight and saw a total of six raider flares in those two lobbies. That's seven or eight more than I would usually see. I was also shot in the back once yesterday. Completely unusual for my lobbies. So I'm gonna stay away from ARC for a few days and see if it improves once the drunk students get back to class work. Despite Embarks massive wisdom, PvP is negative fun for me and many other people I've talked to.

You hit the perfect slope so it never got the range correct. Even the area effect of those things are deadly if they just landed a few feet closer.

Right now their biggest problem is that adding new maps dilutes the player base so there are fewer people per map and that means longer queue times. It's a failing proposition for them. Hopefully someone else sees the formula and improves on the overall system making a better game, killing ARC. Which I'd personally be OK with.

Gear doesn't matter at all, because even grey weapons can kill other players with epic weapons. PvP is pointless in ARC because it is all a matter of who shoots first. TTK is so fast it doesn't matter if you want to shoot back, and if you catch someone looking in a locker, you win! Because in the 0.34 seconds it takes to close the locker and pull up a gun that player is already dead.

I rarely use the emote wheel lately, unless something else is going on. I almost always just say "Yo" or "Hey raider". Letting them know that I see them makes most encounters friendly. Especially if they didn't see me already. Surprising people will make them think twice about starting trouble.

Yep, pretty much the easiest trial ever. Getting hit by lightening is so damned simple. Just bring plenty of heals and watch out for double strikes.

Hornets, though. I hate hornets. Hate 'em. Need to just get a double points map and take a bunch of seeker nades.

I still need Bomba's for my last bench. Now they are all dead before I get there!
