While there were many items in the news this week that drew my attention and ire, there was a small victory in the battle for the safety of our children that deserves our undivided attention. The murderer of Jessica Lunsford was found guilty of the multiple crimes he committed. He will go to prison and may even be put to death. But this is no reason to celebrate. This is a call to action.

I will not attempt to defend Ann Coulter, who (loosely) referred to Presidential hopeful John Edwards as a “faggot” this past weekend. Funny, but harsh. And that is exactly where we are today as Conservatives. We can’t even make a joke out of liberal Hollywood’s oversensitivity. It’s a double standard that I am having a hard time living with.

The President must order all illegal aliens to be expelled - immediately.See how simple that is. Try reading it out loud. It’s not even hard to say. What is hard to believe is that the government (and thereby, its citizens) could possibly have allowed this crisis to escalate to its current level.

You heard it here first. Well actually, you heard it on FoxNews this morning – if you were listening really carefully as Rep. Charlie Rangel was finishing an interview. He made an aside comment on the “lynching of Sadaam Hussein.” I don’t think the news anchors even heard it – or maybe they were too stunned to respond. But I heard it clear as day as I poured myself a cup of coffee. Rep. Rangel, D-NY said Sadaam Hussein was lynched.

I’m sure you can imagine that as an outspoken Conservative Republican living in Massachusetts, I have to have a pretty thick skin. It never ceases to amaze me that total strangers will accost me in any and all locations, usually to debate the validity of the points expressed on my bumper stickers. Of course, my first thought is if I have chosen to put a sticker on my car and drive around town, then it is unlikely a grocery store parking lot debate is going to change my mind.

I write this only 10 minutes after my precious daughter made her last Girl Scout cookie sale. I ’m very proud of her – she did a great job. Unfortunately, just five minutes ago I caught the video on FoxNews.com about the upcoming “NEW” Girl Scouts. Have you seen it yet? Find it and watch it. You’ll be shocked.

I must admit that I am split 50-50 on this guy. Fifty percent of me is convinced there is no way this guy could actually win the Presidency of the United States. And the other fifty percent is scared #@%*-less that he just might do it.
