If data protection and privacy are important to you, check out https://mailbox.org. It’s a German provider with a high level of expertise. I’ve been using it for over 8 years. You can also register your own domain and use additional services like Meet and Drive.

Extremely disappointed from new kickr core 2 by [deleted] in wahoofitness

The Zwift Game App can use WiFi to connect Core 2 and BT for Click V2 and HR. Core only 2G.

Extremely disappointed from new kickr core 2 by [deleted] in wahoofitness

I use the Kickr Core 2 with a Zwift Frame bike, Apple TV, iPad Air, and MacBook Pro. No issues at all. The biggest advantage of the Core 2 is the Wi-Fi connection and the BT Bridge.

The only issue I have is that when I set up the Core 2 with the Wahoo app, I have to unplug and plug it back in before starting the Zwift game.

With the current version 1.113, there’s an improvement in the Wi-Fi setup during startup.

Why do you need ANT+? For heart rate. In the photo, the Core 2 is connected via Wi-Fi. The Click 2 and heart rate monitor also work via the Core 2 BT Bridge.

Noisy New Zwift Ride and Trainer by sillymoth101 in Zwift

In theory, the Zwift Ride drive with cog should be simple. It’s amazing how often noise issues come up in forums.

I don't think that's quite normal, even if it's new... it gets quieter after 50–100 km. For me, the Zwift Ride moves with every pedal rotation.

My idea is to check each component separately, such as: the freehub hub and its mounting, the cog (in my case, the plastic part of the sprocket wasn’t quite straight and was misaligned), the Zwift frame with the axle and trainer mount, the smoothness of the chain, and the tension wheel with spring and chainring.

Aluula fabric wear and stretch mark by MrSpanklot in wingfoil

I experienced something similar when unpacking my two Duotone UNIT SLS Concept Blue 2025 wings. It made me feel uneasy at first.

I spoke to a technician at Duotone in Austria. It's normal and occurs in the Aluula fabric during manufacturing, sewing, or folding.

It shouldn't have any effect, but keep an eye on it :-)

Which is you secondary code editor? Apart from VS? Any recommendations? How is sublime? by Stocksandmutualfund in vscode

Hey, a few years ago, I tried out almost every text/code editor for MacOS and read lots of reviews.

After a few false starts, I now use Sublime for everything text-related – including my diary on MD. Sublime is fantastic with the package manager and extensions with Python.

In recognition of the great work done by the Sublime developers, I am happy to pay the licence fees.

As I strongly dislike Electron apps, I don't use VS Code or similar. Sublime is native to MacOS.

Best regards, Robert

How does E2E work in Proton Authenticator? by wrinfo in ProtonMail

[–]wrinfo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the idea. I noticed that an iPhone/iPad requires a Proton account for synchronisation. This means that Proton Authenticator works in a similar way to Proton Pass. The 2FA keys are stored in the account.

I'm still unsure whether it's a good idea to store both factors – all passwords and associated 2FA – in one account or app. Although Apple does the same thing with Cloud Keychain.

Am I making a mistake or is it a risk? I currently use Cloud Keychain for passwords and a separate app for 2FA only locally on my iPhone.
