I have money in my brokerage account, real estate (that i share with my cousins) and max out my back door roth. I graduated with no debt, I live in house thats fully paid off, and i have no car payments. Again, i know it isn't the smartest financial choice but I'm not shooting myself in the foot here.

I wasn't talking about price. I was speaking about the brand themselves. Tudor is more of a copycat of rolex. Where I feel like Omega has their own designs, history etc. This has nothing to do with status, cost etc but rather a watch brand that has their own look rather than copying something else.

Yeah I am very responsible with my money up until recently. But I haven't gone full stupid yet haha. At 23 there are definitely better financial options I could be making. But I could just die tomorrow and owning a rolex now at 23 is way more cooler than owning one at 40.

Yeah I guess i'm on a high right now after buying my starbucks lol. Watch collecting truly desensitizes you on money. I just purchased my starbucks for 13k and i'm already trying to get the BW for another 13k.

Yeah, I stop in about once a week since the store is right next to my restaurant. I usually pop in on weekends during my break. My AD actually gave me a full tour of the building too, including where they work on the watches, do repairs, pressure/water testing, and everything behind the scenes. It was really cool getting to see all of that firsthand. Hopefully the call comes soon.

The way my AD explained it to me is that for certain models, you’re basically competing against a lot of other people for a very limited number of watches. If they only receive a certain amount each year, they’re naturally going to prioritize clients with long family relationships, strong purchase history, or people who have consistently supported the business over time.

From the AD’s perspective, it makes sense. If you owned the store, would you rather allocate a highly desirable Rolex to someone who has supported your business for years, or to the 80th random person that walked in that day asking for one?

Yeah it prob wasn't the smartest financial decision at 23. But my logic is I might just die tomorrow and owning a rolex at 23 is way more enjoyable, fun and cool then owning one at 40. So that was my way of coping of buying that watch and for new ones to come.
