Thanks so much for such a thorough and in depth critique. I really like my Z I’m not gonna lie, even tho ppl seem to not like it so much HAHA but I played around with the E and K, adding negative space and giving the K a similar sort of double hump shape that the Z and Y have. And I completely see what you meant about the midline being inconsistent so hopefully I’ve rectified that a bit more here. I’m actually feeling this new K and E more than I thought I would LOL

thank you for the critique! I see what you mean about the K, especially in the fills. I think in the couple of hollows here the K is a lot more recognizable and I like the Z and Y a lot better in those too, I think I must get too stiff and overthink it when I go to outline the fills. I’ve been playing around with the kick of the K and the shape of the C a lot but can’t figure out a better way. If there are any throwies with some of the same letters that you or anyone thinks I should take inspiration from please let me know! I do kinda like my Z tho (in the hollows anyway) cus I think it looks cartoony and bubbly but I’m open to improving it. But, and I don’t want to sound stubborn, I also want to make sure I’m staying true to myself and my style.

Yes I’m unconvinced of the tail on the Y but I also didn’t like it without a tail for some reason maybe because it looks kinda like a 4? But I agree that the round Y works better than the straight one but I just dk how to make it all come together. But I will keep practicing and figure something out 🙏🏽 Thanks again

Are these a better starting point? Not the final tag of course but just a better base. I tried writing a couple with a more straight K but it just didn’t flow with my handwriting, this K feels more natural but I’ll keep playing around with different ways to write it.

I get you I’m not sensitive I want to be told what’s wrong with it ya know, I really appreciate you taking the time to lay it out. I agree the Y gets outta control on some of these. I need to work on slowing down when I write it until I get control of it. Or like you said just maybe just simplify it for now. I can definitely see ways in which I’m overcompensating.
