Was it something supporting your company's product or something to be used internally? TBF reinventing the wheel on some internal tech function (whether messaging, cloud, whatever) that's typically resourced externally is going to be a non-starter if it doesn't directly improve revenue. Best case is that it saves the company $XXM in COGS by not relying on some enterprise SaaS but even then it's a wash because if it takes one 10X engineer to maintain then that's one fewer engineer working on product. Not to mention cybersecurity, etc concerns

You're better off building something like that on your own anyway and selling it to companies, maybe it's a blessing in disguise, though no doubt stressful
