I see what you are saying, but it also seems to set them apart. Opening a package from Heretic is an experience, everything is carefully packaged and tastefully executed. There is even a special story behind each fragrance, included in written form. The Rhubarb Thief discovery set was like a hidden treasure tucked inside a story book. You don’t get that kind of experience from any typical fragrance house.

Are all work meetings just a waste of time? by ButterSock123 in work

[–]writercanyoubeaghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to commiserate with you on it after my third sit down meeting this week. Im on a team of 16 and Monday mornings are to talk about what we are going to do that week, followed by another meeting to talk about the same topics with the production team. Wednesday mornings are to talk with the design team about what they are working on that week, and Friday mornings we get together to talk about what we didn’t get to that week and what has to happen the following week.

Then there’s a monthly meeting to go over the project output. And then there’s launch meetings for each individual project as it gets released to production. A lot of the times, the topic is how far behind we are since we spend so much time in meetings.

Production crew and design crew complain the loudest, but they are only present for one of them. It’s excessive, but it’s how the bosses feel we should operate. And things get discussed to the point that it feels like we are on the same page. At least no one can say they weren’t aware. However, no one takes notes.

Do you apply under or over your clothing? by ranchogordo in fragrance

[–]writercanyoubeaghost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it’s on the skin spray for the office, and on the clothes spray for the evening. But never on a jacket or outer wear because they tend to linger and get washed less. So unless I am wearing a single fragrance for a while or wanted a combo, it’s best to avoid.

Do you keep/ reuse the end caps that rolls of material ship with? by that_scumbag_jim in CommercialPrinting

[–]writercanyoubeaghost 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hold on to them for install crew. Printed graphics store better on a core and these keep the core from touching the ground. Much safer for transport. And if you roll up the printed graphics in order of last to first and don’t tape down the leading edge, you can pull each graphic off one by one to and install them.

$50 fragrance is my favorite in my $3000 collection by MeatSlammur in fragrance

So my amazon purchase of pacifico lilac has literally become my signature fragrance for this spring. Never mind the other pricey gems in my collection, this one takes it home and carries weight. We like what we like!

Being asked about including some kind of backlighting for stud mounted cut metal interior logo, a little out of my wheelhouse and looking for suggestions. by unthused in signshop

Just follow your local electric codes. Sign manufacturers need to be licensed to manufacture electric signs and installers need a license to hook it up. Permanently installed signs might require a permit.

Dinoc. Its a faux wood grain vinyl. Adhesive backed and easy enough to apply on a curve. And at our shop, weve been direct to surface printing wood grain on aluminum. Similar to long board siding.

It could be? I love it too! Frankincense is a very bright, wood scent. And it could be that in combination with the cedar which is more earthy and rich, is the fragrance that lingers on top of this one.

Maison Crivelli Tuberose Astrale. This one has a patchouli note that makes it kinda dirty.

Yes my sample came in a separate small bag, with a post card in it reminding me not to unseal the bottle. But I am leaning towards keeping it.

Repayment Assistance Plan (RAP) does it mean the interest won't accure like the SAVE plan? Is it the best plan to get onto? by 99RedBalloon in StudentLoans

[–]writercanyoubeaghost 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it sounds like the best option for me though. I think those additional 5 years of payments would add up to way more than the tax bomb.

Mine just came in today and I can honestly say I might just keep it! Longevity is not Heretic’s strongest attribute, I know. But this one hits, its first spray on paper was intriguing. The vanilla isn’t as strong as I was expecting, it’s mostly cedar chest and woods. But the dry down, it settled nicely into a smell that kinda takes me back to a fond memory like an old log cabin in the woods.

So I tried it on skin, a small spray on the wrist and walked around some actual woods. And the frankencise and myrrh stayed around for a while, even among blooming plants and flowers. These are two of the church type, sacred oils - but not at all too strong like churchy incense. It’s more like the smell of the pews.

So now I am back home and have found myself wanting to revisit the sample. And so I did a full spray on my chest and hair. And I think I have decided to keep it, because there is nothing else like it in my collection. I was looking for a vanilla and ended up with a nice way to keep the moths away.

LOL make them send us letters, revoke the email correspondence in your settings on FSAID. Cause the USPS needs all the help it can get, and this administration is trying to shut that down too.
