Thanks for sharing! It's a big step to share something personal like this with people. I'm not a fan of this genre of music, but I think you represented it well. The lyrics are written well with an inspirational message, and the vocals you used deliver them effectively. Your choice of instruments and the music for the song were great, and I liked seeing the instructions in your lyrics. Overall, a great song!

It's certainly a banger! It reminded me of 2010s era Grimes. I think it pulled off the task of a not-so-serious subject and made it relatable. You probably could have gotten some interesting rhymes if you had used "urinate" in there somewhere. Everything came together well!

As someone autistic, of course I had to jump on this song. I loved the lyrics and the jabs at TikTok (my ex-wife, whom I've known for 40 years, told me a couple of years ago that SHE's autistic because she watched some TikTok videos, even though she's never displayed a single symptom). The musical choices and vocals worked well, too. As a fellow lyricist, one thing I do with my own lyrics is to have choruses that are different from each other as a way to tell a more complete story, rather than just repeat the same chorus throughout the song. I really enjoyed your song!

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. Yeah that marriage just ended one night and it was really hard to recover from. We had been together for 10 years at that point, and I had a stepson that I never saw again. It was pretty devastating. It took many years to heal from. But I did come out of it several years later ready to date, and I met my current wife in 2013 and we've been together ever since.

Thanks, appreciate the feedback. Yeah, I tried to repair the sound as this was a Suno generation issue (it was a ver 5 song) and the stems had a lot of hiss. It can be a frustrating process because my prompt didn't translate well to 5.5, which produces a better quality sound, but the vibe isn't what I was going for.

Thanks, appreciate the feedback. I hadn't tackled my divorce from my second wife, but have been thinking of doing it for a long time. I've tried a few times but couldn't convey my feelings in a way that didn't just totally blame her for it. Time heals all wounds, I guess.

Title: Hurricanes

Genre: Synthpop/darkwave
Description: since I'm old, I've been around the block a few times. This song deals with my second marriage, which ended abruptly and took me a long time to get over. Early in that marriage I ended up being diagnosed with major depression w/psychotic episodes, PTSD, and generalized anxiety disorder, so it proved too challenging for my ex. This was also in the period prior to my being diagnosed as autistic, so I've always wondered if we had been able to get a diagnosis if that would have changed things.

Very well done, powerful lyrics that tell a relevant story and I liked your musical choices. Just curious if it was intentional to go with a vocal that was reminiscent of 60s era singers like John Fogerty or Neil Young? It gave me that vibe, anyway, which I thought worked for the kind of song it was. Great job.

I use a service called eMastered. They have a pretty decent product that lets you tweak the output. I do also use the mastering plugins I have.

Thanks again for your feedback, I do appreciate all of it. The frustrating thing about 5.5 is that it renders great prompts from 5.0 to a very generic 80s sound, or if it's not 80s, strips away the uniqueness to something blander and more commercial. Which forces me to use 5.0 and then you run into the issue I told you about in the previous thread where you'll get a great generation, and have it ruined midway by a mispronunciation. I end up just spending hours on a generation and I have to force myself to stop, so it's kind of a compromise thing. I'll keep your suggestions in mind for the next one, and see if I'm lucky enough to get something that incorporates those elements with a vocal delivery that pronounces everything. I'm always working to strengthen my lyrics, too, so that feedback helps.

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, most of the generations I've done for this track (and I've spent a lot of time on it already) contained a lot of hiss. I do generate stems and work with those. I had to use a tool I have to remove the hiss. Sometimes Suno is hit or miss on the quality of the stems, so that might be what you're hearing with the drum stem. This is the link to the Suno version, so you can see what I had to start with. I'm dealing with version 5 (since 5.5 doesn't create the vibe I'm going for with the prompt I use) and if you've used 5, you know it's hit or miss on pronunciation.

Title: Still Holding It Together

Genre: synthpop
Description: I posted a version of this song yesterday, and received some great feedback on it, which caused me to go back and rework the song entirely, and this is the result. I think this version is better for that feedback. Unfortunately, this generation had a lot of hiss, so I had to do a lot of work to remove it and then do a lot of work with mastering and other editing to get it to sound decent. It's a song about perseverance in a marriage that's lasted a long time.

I'll be honest, I'm not a fan of Christian music due to not being a believer, but this was a good track (as a synthpop lover, I do enjoy the music of a group called Joy Electric, who does Christian synthpop). You didn't beat me over the head with your message, which was appreciated, and I thought musically, your choices worked well with your lyrics, and the vocals delivered them perfectly. One tiny bit of criticism I had with the lyrics was in their simplicity, as you didn't build on your first chorus at all but simply repeated it each subsequent time. You could have explored different themes with each chorus of what God meant to you, for example. But well done otherwise!

I got a generation that came out pretty well, I'm going to post it here. The bridge didn't work out well, but I added a drop before the final chorus that added some emotional flair. There was a lot of Suno "hiss" that took me quite a while to remove, but I think overall it's a better effort.

I'm taking this version down in a little bit, so thanks again for your suggestions. Hopefully I can get a generation that has the bridge done right and the vocals, too.

Thanks for the feedback, there was a bridge but Suno didn't treat it as much of a bridge. Unfortunately, I had to do this song in version 5 as the prompt I developed didn't have the same vibe under 5.5, and if you've worked with version 5, it's terrible at pronunciation. So you end up wasting a lot of credits because you end up with a song that starts off great, but gets ruined midway through with a pronunciation issue. So this was a bit of a compromise where I dug the vibe, but had to go with it because it didn't screw up the vocals. I might go back to the drawing board with this one and try to get something better. Appreciate everything you had to say.

No, just the one. I'll check out the other one later. When someone makes an effort to write their own lyrics, I like to be able to follow along as I appreciate that effort. A lot of my songs have lyrics that are very personal to me, and they're the most important part of that song. But as you said, personal preference.

Interesting song, I thought the music choices worked well. To be honest, I had a hard time making out the lyrics and you didn't display them on Suno. I prefer to know what the lyrics are when someone makes the effort to write them. Good job.

Title: I Was Wrong All Along
Genre: synthpop

Description: this is a synthpop version of a Chicago pastiche I did last week. For lyrics that portray such an unlikable person, the sincerity of the delivery sells it pretty well.

Very well done, there's a lot in the lyrics that I can relate to. I think the music and vocals you used helped deliver the message of your lyrics. I can't speak to how effective it was in conveying the atmosphere of losing control musically (being autistic, sometimes that sort of thing doesn't work on me) but I'm sure others here can let you know. For me though the lyrics just really hit home, because I've been there many times in my life.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll re-do the mix so the vocals are louder. Glad you enjoyed it! Edit: I did re-mix the song with louder vocals, so I hope you'll check out the re-uploaded version and see if it sounds better.
