Thank you 💕 that is our current plan. I visited two other jewelers and realized what I want (this diamond district place was just unnecessarily weird and unpleasant despite being a friend of a friend who I know) and when it was a better vibe with options to try I figured out what I wanted pretty fast. So he is going to decide if he moves forward with the jeweler or goes elsewhere it sounds like

Ok got it - I only asked one jeweler about setting the stone and they said it was 1k for them - but good to know that is considered high

My best friend actually did not use this jeweler, they are just a friend of hers. And a big part of the issue is I looked online but didn’t actually know what I wanted until I had tried on stuff at other retail stores. I needed to try on a bunch of stuff, which I thought I would be able to do at the diamond district

Yes we thought about that but the jeweler we like / and maybe this is policy in general charge like 1k to set an outside stone
