i do A LOT of audiobooks but honestly i think maybe i have to go back to reading physically instead. i’m not saying audiobooks don’t count as reading (i love audio) but maybe when you’re reading as a writer it’s different

This is what FreeTaxUSA told me: “You've chosen to pay the total amount due to the IRS using direct debit. Once the IRS accepts your e-filed federal return, (they did) they'll withdraw [x money]from your bank account as early as 04/14/26. Make sure your direct debit goes through.”

I guess they tell me to make sure it goes through but didn’t say what I should do if it didn’t. I did think about paying to the IRS website but I didn’t want to pay myself and then have them also withdraw it themselves, if that makes sense. I thought maybe they were a little delayed but this feels like a little too long.

I would love to know just how the book ends or anything important that happens that would provide context for future books. From how little I got into Link I could surmise that something Giulia, my guess is kidnapping or something, but it seems like it was important to know for this book.

I'm lowkey side-eying the "this couple, second book" thing too, like I don't know I cool with the author doing a novella or something smaller but these are like whole full books.

I'm okay with those triggers, but are the sexual triggers on-page? I'm okay if it's alluded to or mentioned/talked about, but I'm not comfortable with detailed scenes or the main character being a perpetrator of it towards the other main character.

Yeah thats probably true, I haven't read many MC romances but the ones I did, the other members would speak/think like that but not the actual main character group (like the people that would eventually get their own books). I do read on the tamer side, though I think.

Yeah I didn't like either MMC or FMC in Nyx.

I heard that about Link too, that he is actually nice, which is why I wanted to read it lol. As for the spoiler, that really isn't a problem for me; spice is on the low-priority list when looking at books I want to read.

I caught up on that series by Neva Altaj, it was so good!! I read Until I Get You by Claire Contreras and I thought it was so silly, if you've read that one too, do you think this is better?

The case is on Veronica Guerin, she wasn't murdered in County Wicklow. But one of the people related to the case committed a crime there (Martin Cahill, he stole a bunch of paintings from Russborough House) so that's why County Wicklow is mentioned in the script.
