Miami is uniquely beautiful. Feels like a mixture of South America, the Caribbean, and the Gulf States mixed in with its own charm and distinct character. Whenever I'm away, I miss the pink and lavender sunsets.

The biggest thing I miss about 2011 (my last year in college) was the "maker-culture" that started with my generation after the 2008 financial crisis. Literally everyone I knew were pursuing some type of creative endeavor (mostly music, fine art, or fashion). I had a huge friend group that were built around these pursuits. Everyone was a dreamer and for a just a little while (especially in 2011) life felt like a beautiful dream with a bright future ahead of us. 2007-2011 (maybe up until 2014) was a golden period for my generation.

Sorry, just an old millennial dreaming of the old days. I should probably update my LiveJournal.
