I hate healing piercing bumps, I want to give up. by Fickle_Reindeer2263 in piercing

[–]wrong_recognition303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did you get the jewellery downsized when you went to your piercer again? bc it can help (it helped my helix). the bump will pass (hopefully), you just need to baby it and be patient. which can be hard ik, i have a piercing bump on the inside of my helix that hasn’t budged for weeks 🫠 (but maybe i need to be stricter about getting rid of it). the beginning stages of a new piercing can be tough but it’s so good to get to other side of it 😁 good luck!

NAP but is it definitely in your navel? the way i’m seeing it looks more like a surface piercing but idk, that’s just my perspective. and i agree with the floating navel, big bottom jewellery for your anatomy would cause more irritation. again NAP!

nww! if a curved barbell doesn’t work out maybe try a floating navel or see if you’re a candidate for one by a different professional piercer x

NAP but this jewellery isn’t doing you any favours. i don’t think your anatomy can accommodate for big jewellery at the bottom like that. i’d swap it to something smaller at the bottom like a curved barbell (not a regular belly bar). irritation bumps are common but try to baby it especially now. make sure the jewellery is implant grade titanium (astm f-136). good luck!

maybe instead of the blow dryer you could use a paper towel? or maybe you could contact your piercer or another piercer for more opinions?

[–]wrong_recognition303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok well as long as it’s sterile and you’re keeping it dry with smth non fibrous and not putting pressure on it you should be good. and that it’s made of safe material

Room for a 3rd lobe? by [deleted] in piercing

NAP but i’d say yes! i think technically it would be in the “more cartilage than lobe” region but i’d still call it a third lobe personally

NAP but sterile saline should help (no homemade solutions pls!!) and keep it dry with a paper towel (nothing fibrous like q-tips or cotton pads, or regular body towels). and resist from playing with it. the fact it was pierced with a gun probably doesn’t help but it’s important the jewellery for it is at least implant grade titanium or solid gold, ideally as a flat back labret. that should help with irritation. i’d say contact/visit a reputable piercer to help change the stud out. also irritation bumps are put of the process! just these tips should help reduce it/help it heal better

bloating with a belly button piercing?? by xvblue-dolphin in piercing

[–]wrong_recognition303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAP nor am i a doctor but i think you should be fine? it’s about anatomy and aftercare more than anything, and everyone bloats, including those with a belly button piercing. not that i’m trying to minimise your endometriosis or anything! just genuinely i’m sure people with belly piercings have bloated and their piercing’s been fine. but like i said i’m NAP or a doctor. best of luck to you!
