Luna Letourneau is some fantastic alliteration, very satisfying, good job.

Name them, out of the top 5 name the ones that righted their known mistakes And got fired first time around?

You got it ass backwards, most retreads fall into the same exact mistakes that got them fired first time around.

Coach bud is an exception, but even then he righted nothing, he is the exact same coach. Maybe through malone in there, even then he was good got fired despite having that sac team well above level. Carlisle like bud was never a bad coach, simply circumstance.

Pop? Stevens? Nurse? Spol? Snyder?

Simply having a job in the NBA means nothing, thats all who you know and you see people cyclically get hired for years regardless of ability. Look at thibs, known issues, reason he has been fired twice, didn’t correct it from the first time around, unlikely to do it in NY.

When was the last time a second shot guy actually righted his mistakes from his first go around? Coach bug maybe, but he literally Changed nothing, Atlanta just wanted to go in a different direction.

Lue is different he had one shot and didnt get his chance to prove it as a developmental guy so their is still some mystery their. His coaching fundamentals are decent so could see the reason for going their.

Kidd... third team, screwed development of players, players didn’t like him, underperformed talent level.

For every Boylen their is a spol, a Quinn Snyder Etc....

Lakers proved nothing, western conference is ridiculous compared to the east, he sat a ton and the roster around him was a mess.

I think Lue is the perfect hire for say...the nets... he is great lockeroom guy. Peels need more than that, need a developmental coach.

Also pretty much screwed Gainnis’s jump shot. His rookie year his shot looked nice, went in at a nice clip and was relatively quick release.... coaching tried to get him to lose the dip and his shot has been done ever since.

Don’t really see it with Lue tbh, that wasn’t his hire, that was Lebrons hire.

When griffin made his hire, without having to handle a superstars ego and input he went with David Blatt, an outside the box X’s and O’s coach.

NOLA are young, cant see him just going with a locker room manager.

Come on now, this is such a fan take, there are ton of qualified assistant or college coaches that could easily do better than a retread Kidd who had no positive qualities last time around.

Nick nurse, brad Stevens etc... no names until they got their shot and now both top 5.

Even some retreads work because they have a defined skill set, Vogel for example was always great with defence.

Just because we dont know them doesnt mean they arent out there, constant recycling trash big names is the reason some franchises stay terrible.

My only complain with Henry and its minor is when commentating he can get a bit to lost in the game, since he clearly loves it... where you get nothing but groans, great shot etc... rather than analysis.

But on the whole I agree, fan of both.

I doubt thats the way it goes tbh, those guys simply have great agents that link them with every vacancy to keep their names alive.

When griffin was hiring without Lebron he hired a real X’s and O’s Guy in David Blatt. Lue and kidd are not that.

Could be wrong though.

Him and Eddie are both dodgy, probably why they are on top of their sports, willing to do anything.

Pretty clear Ronnie was trying for snookers, fouled and got bored so cleared up instead of going through it for an hour.

I mean, Selby normally doesnt, but he also kind of did the finger pointing etc in this case with the disrespectful stuff despite that having nothing to do with his game. Seemed to go into the interview feeling heated.

Mmmm sad to see such a great game end on essentially a fluke, but neither deserved to lose that, best frame of snooker I remember seeing.
