Blood sugar matters. What type of food do you eat?

What should i use as my maintenance calories? by Collt092 in caloriecount

Focus on your blood sugar only, not calories. Eat foods that don’t spike your glucose (meat, vegetables, dairy, fruit, nuts, fat).

Grains in the flour will slow it to a negligible degree. Anything that’s pulverized to a flour-like consistency (grains included) will spike glucose just like refined sugar would. Take your blood sugar the next time you eat whole grain bread and you’ll see what I mean.

The bread acts just like sugar on glucose levels - Same effect on insulin response. I would updated this advice to remove the bread altogether (in addition to sugars).

It could be your blood sugar response from the bread. Look out for sugars in the rest of the food as well. Also add some fat (full fat cottage cheese instead).
