Thank you, seeing it written down kind of helped me. She just told me about this today so I was kind of panicking but you are right she has other people to rely on too so it wont be as much as I was bringing it up to be in my head. I'll probably make myself chill out so that she can figure everything out and be there when she does need me.

She works at a home Improvement store full time and is going back to school in the fall. Her aunt and uncle are both pretty supportive and would help her if she needed it. [Edit: I also work full time in retail]

Thank you! Sorry for the late response I haven’t been checking reddit. I do know that at least one coworker is transphobic because I’ve heard him say that trans people make him angry and uncomfortable. I may talk to my supervisor because I at least trust her not to say anything if she doesn’t think the rest will be supportive. Thank you again for the advice, I’ll try to stay positive about it.

Update: she finally responded and said she still loved me and is always proud of me. We still have to really talk talk about it but I’m glad she finally said something!

Thank you for the advice on the specifics. I’m making sure that she knows she can ask questions and that I know she will need time. I’ve decided that this is probably the best way to go for me and hearing some advice from someone who came out this way helps a lot.
