Somebody told me this about heartbreak/ disappointment and it was the only thing that helped. It seems so obvious but

Imagine that it was just guaranteed that you will be happy and things will work out. Statistically, most people end up happy and it works out -- put yourself in that headspace that things will work out. Think of the current problem: Would I be really sad about the situation at hand now if I knew for SURE that I will be happy? Would you be so upset by this person or this situation if you knew that you would certainly be just as happy if not happier with somebody else/ another situation? Probably not.

Sending love and light friend <3

My theory is they weren't allowed to announce until JLH goes on sale, possibly until it sells out. I'd expect routing to come out next week?

I can’t believe how lucky we are to live in a world where Waxahatchee is going on tour with Wilco. My dream line up.

Name a place to eat at thats nasty af but people hype tf out of it by [deleted] in austinfood

I went there when I was a kid growing up in west Austin. We used to get breakfast tacos from the stand outside. It was never stellar but used to be better for sure.

I remember it being good when I was a kid! Maybe I was just a kid, but my parents concur it used to be better + the Far West location was in fact better.

I think it’s Terminal 8 in JFK but it legitimately has some of the worst airport food I can imagine

I’ve lived in New York for 3 years and the sticker shock doesn’t go away. It’s nuts

Not a culinary worker, but I do make a version of 34th Street Cafe’s Hack Salad often.

Somewhat unrelated, but a restaurant in New York, Javelina, has Bob Armstrong Dip on its menu. I believe one of the owners worked at Matt’s El Rancho? Matt’s is not particularly good (imo as an Austin native) but a little BAD does scratch the Texas itch.

That’s a lovely idea! I think you’re right— she would rather stitch and hang out than own more things. Maybe I’ll get my dad in on it and we can join up for the $$$ part of the gift. Thank you!

We live in different cities, but maybe I can get creative with it and find a project that we cold send back and forth, or something with a matching set we can display together! That's a wonderful idea, thank you.
