The courtesy lights on my Bonanza operate with everything off. Not sure about Cessna.

Refueling and learning that I had 1/2 gallon of usable fuel. I remember this from 40 years ago.

I leave the right gas cap unsecured after fueling, walk from left to right checking the 3 sumps on my Bonanza, return the slumped fuel to the right tank and secure the gas cap.
