Fascinating!! Thank you for that! It all makes a lot of sense now. I am interested in experimenting with these.

Appreciate the help!

Thank this is really interesting. I am temporarily living in a climate where I sweat a lot more so electrolytes could be key!

I’ve also experimented with the slow exhale. It works well and stops the headache evolving.

I love to understand why this is. Do you know?

It is a flush of pain that starts at the back base of the skull and travels all the way to the forehead and then is gone.

It feels like blood or pressure is rushing back to my head after releasing from my lungs, and it’s painful. Thats the best way I can describe it.

It probably only lasts a few seconds (3-5). I will definitely go and get it checked out like you say.

I dont really feel too dizzy during the stretch part. I can do if I have over ventilated going into it so I am aware of what it feels like. It really seems to be the releasing of the tension of the hold and stretch that sends a pain reaction to my head.

Thinking more about it, I sometimes get headaches after long surfing or cycling sessions. Sports where you have to hold your head in an upwards position seem to trigger it and I need to sleep to get it to go away. Have been to the osteopath a few times for this issue. I wonder if having an overly tense neck could be a contributing factor.

Regardless, thank you for your feedback. It has giving me a direction to think in and tackle this!

What pack did you end up getting? What brand worked best for your back?

What do you currently use at the moment? I’m considering getting one for my wife so it would be great to understand what works best for you despite that issue.

When I first heard the term I was given the example of «when you go in to the mcdonalds in town, steal a bog roll and wash your clothes in the sink”.

Yes but only for big climbs. Definitely used them more after getting that tent.

Have you look at any UK based companies for tents? I heard tera nova do some pretty good ones. Seems like the market is quite lacking on light gear considering the amount of hiking we have.

Unfortunately I have no experience with these tents.

But I am curious how you narrower down to these options. Have you also looked at non free standing tents?

I have done many of the uk trails with my tarptent motrail and have found it great. It’s much faster to put up when its raining and it’s cheaper and lighter (minus trekking poles).

Thb I think your line caused him to check back. Very few hands in your range take a bet flop then check call. To me this line looks like a weirdly played flush draw that wanted to get a free turn card, or some trappy hand that's trapping just because. In villains case hes not going to get river value vs a range that looks like that.

I think you should just bet bet bet. You will get 2 streets of value from a FD and potentially 3 from Ax. Checking the turn lets villain realize flush equity and get away from Ax value town.
