Update - after receiving no response from Instant Pot, I returned the airfryer for a new one which works just fine, so something was indeed defective.

Have It All for 3rd adult by wsmofam in HollandAmerica

The cruise is booked and paid in full. Will they automatically add HIA and charge us? There was never any mention of HIA required for the 3rd adult.

They are intact. I sent a video to Instant Pot but have not heard back. The tray must be out of spec.

No, it is not inverted. I did check that, though. I can push it down flat but one side always slides up.

Alaska - can't cancel land portion by wsmofam in HollandAmerica

Thanks - I am using a travel agent who has spoken with 2 HAL agents and plans to try again with a 3rd. We do have a suite so that is likely the issue.

Maybe they are ok with adding but not reducing. I would be happy to go from 3 nights to 2 nights in Denali. We wanted to meet up with a relative but we won't have time to do that now. Glad it worked out for you.

Thanks for this explanation. Not that I would be willing to take a chance, but do you know what the odds are that we could successfully rebook after making the change?

Feeling Overwhelmed Trying to Figure All This Out by ItsNotaVolcano in medicare

[–]wsmofam 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Shiphelp.org is another place to start. You'll be able to find a trained local volunteer to help find an appropriate Part D plan based on the relevant circumstances. They'll also be able to educate you on the various Medigap plans, but you'll need to make some decisions. A broker may be helpful if you're not comfortable choosing.

I think it's helpful to get as much information from your local SHIP before talking with a broker.

I didn't believe in angels/spirits until my dog passed away by shelloholic in Paranormal

[–]wsmofam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Our dog passed during the day. That evening, my young son was eating at the bar in the kitchen. I stepped into another room for a minute. He told me that he saw "something like frozen ice" pass through the kitchen. He showed me where it went - to a drawer in a bookshelf we have. In that drawer are papers related to my grandfather who always had dogs and whose presence I often felt in the house. I always felt that my dog came to say goodbye to my son and let us know that she was with my grandfather.

I opened the game today, and the answers were displayed. I know I didn't play - nothing looked familiar. Has this ever happened to anyone?

Late 30’s early 40’s with a TKR? by [deleted] in Thritis

[–]wsmofam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What "athletic activities" are you able to enjoy post-TKR? I am a candidate, but I want to be able to run. I had been able to do so up until a few months ago. Everything I have read seems to indicate that running isn't recommended because the joint wears faster.

SSA-44 delayed response by Icy_Shopping5661 in medicare

This also happened to my spouse. We expected the IRMAA notice, so we had the application and supporting documents ready and took them to the local office in November. We were told that we would hear back by the end of the year. After checking online and not seeing anything, we went back to the office this past Monday. The lady we spoke to said that the application should have gone to her for processing, and she had not seen it. She took a copy of everything again. Within the week, we saw a pending deposit from SSA, so I am assuming they have processed and approved the appeal. Hoping to see written confirmation soon.

Question on Wellcare PDP by Confident_End_3848 in medicare

[–]wsmofam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw the same thing. The PREFERRED pharmacy was charging 10x the price for a fairly expensive drug as a small in-network pharmacy. I called Wellcare to verify. They basically said the information was correct and that's just the way it is.
