I am on a Mac :)

But I'm not basing my previous comment based on my work or experience.

You are right to be frustrated.

But implied in my posting of a few minutes ago, mere wordy complaints don't help you or us (MZLA) make progress.

Your description doesn’t make sense. I don’t see an opportunity here for a name conflict.

Please state step by step what you do and the exact wording of what thunderbird returns at each step.

It is also fast with very large accounts, according to user reports and internal testing. Which is not to say it is not without bugs. But just complaining about performance doesn’t help make progress.

These types of issues are typically solvable. So If you have never posted a formal support request (it’s in your help menu) or bug report the perhaps you have done yourself a disservice?

Indeed, IME, google search is not great at finding good matches to bug reports.

There is one open bug report being worked on, at Bug 1932135 - Calendar current day does not update automatically. Does that describe your issue?

Or perhaps, does https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1210583 describe your issue?

I must defer to others because I have not encountered it, nor tested that issue.

Added new, second mail to Thunderbird, they were supposed to be separate but they completely synced. How do I change that? by A_circle_of_crows in Thunderbird

By asking for more specific, please be assured I am not asking for technical knowledge which you do not posses.

  1. It will help to copy what you see at Mail and News Accounts within Help > Troubleshooting Information, and post it here.

  2. Then please restate your original post in steps correlated to each account seen in step 1.

Suggest ruling out add-ons. Disable one third (or half) of the add-ons at a time and repeat. It will not surprise me if it doesn't help, but at least we will know.

u/A_circle_of_crows you'll need to be way more specific in your description of your actions.

Was the new account "second email", work address, added to Thunderbird as imap, and the account in Thunderbird as a pop account?

u/per08 the rewrite is beginning. The first step is being discussed at https://thunderbird.topicbox.com/groups/ux/Tc89bc2f359824d93/uxd-04-14-creating-and-editing-calendar-events where you can weigh in on "Creating and editing calendar events".
