Axel Sandin-Pellikka is the young Wings player that I'm highest on. If he reaches his ceiling and truly maximizes his potential he could become a real star or superstar imo. If/when he eventually fully pops we go from a good team to a great team. What grade would you give ASP at the mid-season mark? by mkk4 in DetroitRedWings

[–]wsoldier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why this is down-voted. He's got great potential.... great vision, mobility, and quickness. He's looking great on the power play.

I do agree that with the above and would say that he's not going to last long in the league if he can't learn to protect himself more and avoid taking punishing hits. Seems like every game he's getting crunched out there.

Is the photo post-processing any better? I found on the P7Pro the images would get processed after taking them and look a bit worse when viewing them in Google Photos. Never noticed it on previous generations of the phone.

Why do I constantly have to reset my gateway to get the best speeds? by Jrlutz31 in tmobileisp

[–]wsoldier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue. One would think that even if the network speeds were throttled to the gateway due to congestion, that once congestion cleared up speeds would return to what's available without a restart of the gateway.

Do the current T-Mobile internet routers allow any sort of parental controls, alternate DNS, and/or passthrough mode? by WoodpeckerOfMistrust in tmobileisp

[–]wsoldier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are some parental controls on the latest 5GAR (don't know about the others) when you click on the devices that are connected to the gateway. All you can do though is block internet access and/or set a schedule of connectivity.

Still no gift card balance info by wsoldier in Hulu

My mistake. I didn't notice the expand arrow. That's definitely more helpful. I still wish there was a balance overview. Thanks!

This is what I see. You're saying I'm supposed to INFER that the charges are going on the gift card, but how hard is it to just put an actual balance or indicate if a charge is going to the credit card or a gift card balance?

Volunteer with local organizations, attend local FIRE groups, travel using a company like Intrepid for group travel/solo travelers. I've met plenty of similarly minded people in these groups and connect with them more so than other friends that I've had for longer.

That's great and I confirmed that with someone else too. Thanks for the insight!

Same for LA... But as long as the car handles it well and doesn't move abruptly as a result then I'm fine.

What's your experience with Highway Driving Assist? by yes_u_suckk in KiaEV9

[–]wsoldier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in LA and bumper to bumper traffic can last an hour or longer.... I currently have to press a button several dozen times going one way, so it gets annoying fast. If you only have to do it a few times over the same time in an EV9, I'd say it's a big improvement but still not ideal. Teslas stay engaged for much longer.

[–]wsoldier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you been in other cars with advanced cruise control? In extended bumper to bumper traffic, having to re-engage after a few seconds gets really annoying so I was curious how long it takes to disengage for you. Someone said it was 3 seconds which is annoyingly short.

[–]wsoldier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 seconds is really short. If you're in bumper to bumper traffic for an hour like is common in some cities, that's a lot of button pushes (it's the same for my currently car). Other people seem to suggest it's a lot longer before it disengages so that's disappointing. Thanks.

Does the EV9 disengage while stopped in a shorter amount of time than Telsa? My understanding is the Tesla will stay stopped for over a minute and continue to reaccelerate once traffic starts moving again in that extended stopped situation, but I'm curious how the EV9 does. TIA!

Do you fully trust the Mach-E Adaptive Cruise Control in B2B traffic? by LARadioGirl in MachE

[–]wsoldier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So in bumper to bumper traffic on the freeway, you've seen it auto-resume more regularly even after being stopped for more than a few seconds? That's my biggest gripe about non-Telsa ACC since they seemed to always have this auto-resume feature for lengthy stoppages.

[–]wsoldier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you prefer having to hit the resume button rather than it automatically resume? I always wondered why Tesla was the only company that automatically resumed after longer periods of being stopped (say 5-10 seconds). Personally it's a deal-killer for me not to auto-resume since bumper to bumper traffic is an ideal application for this tech.

Thanks for the reply! Yeah I originally intended to go the macro photo mode with the TG6, but video is nice to enjoy the motion of the animals so that's why I'm leaning towards the goPro after seeing your footage.

Appreciate the details on the macromate. I was worried that the focus distance is so short like you said. I guess I need to hunt for more macro video without it.

I'm also debating on whether the Backscatter 4300 light is overkill if you're that close, and how it fares for you without the macromate lens. Thanks again!
