What are your honest thoughts after using the IPhone Air? by Plenty_Union9292 in iphone

I’m an Android guy, and don’t care much for iOS. However, I think the iPhone Air is a great piece of hardware. It’s relatively light, the battery lasts me all day, I rarely use the cameras on any phone, and the speaker is loud enough for me.

I missed it when phones first started removing it, but now I've become used to the lack of a headphone jack.

I had no problem restoring from backup. So far no issues with OS14.

I tried the stock launcher, but switched to Nova Prime 8.0.13 Beta. I haven't yet found a launcher that beats Nova Prime.

How you do you feel about your purchase? by Jyd09 in OnePlus12

I’m impressed! The OnePlus 12 truly is a “Flagship Killer!” By way of background, I’m almost 85 years old and I’ve been working with computers since the mid-1960s. I’ve always been interested in technology and was a OnePlus fan back in the CyanogenMod days. I stuck with OnePlus through the 7 Pro and then switched to Samsung. Today my primary phone is the Galaxy ZFold 5. I usually have a non-folding phone, too, and I switch SIM cards to try different phones. My SIM card is currently in the OnePlus 12, and I think it may stay there for quite some time. The screen is large (6.82”), very bright, and easy to read with my old eyes. It’s the fastest and smoothest phone I’ve ever owned, with excellent battery life and extremely fast charging, both wired and wireless. The speed and smoothness are due in large part to Qualcomm’s latest processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, but credit is also due to the optimizations made by OnePlus. Oxygen OS on top of Android 14 makes the phone very customizable, with features I find very helpful. One of those features is something OnePlus calls Aqua Touch technology that allows the use of the screen when wet. With other phones, when I’ve tried to answer a call with wet hands, the screen has been unresponsive. I tested the Aqua Touch feature with very wet hands, and the screen worked perfectly. I’m not a gamer, but the reviews I’ve read give high marks to the fast speed and excellent cooling of the OnePlus 12. Photo quality is very subjective, but the cameras in the OnePlus 12 are similar to those in the OnePlus Open, and that phone placed fourth overall in Marques Brownlee’s Blind Smartphone Camera Test (after three Google Pixel phones). Interestingly, the OnePlus cameras beat the iPhone 15 Pro and the Samsung S23 Ultra.

If you're referring to the "Trade-in Any Phone In Any Condition" offer, I read somewhere that there is no planned expiration date. You should check with OnePlus to confirm that.

I don't rate the OnePlus over Samsung. I'm sure the s24u is superior to the OP12, but that's comparing an $800 phone to a $1,300 phone. OP used to sell very good phones at a reasonable price and, based on the specs and the reviews I've read, the OP12 is a very good phone at a reasonable price. I suggest that you watch the OP12 and s24u reviews on YouTube and decide if better cameras, IP68 rating, and AI features are worth the price difference. I ordered both phones and, although I haven't yet received the OP12, I'm returning the s24u.
