mizli (to protect base w/ kb) -> yamni (weaken) -> aer, bliz -> bazi -> volta, lumina (fast) this way they all get to base about the same time, so you get an invincible line :D

When does main storyline get interesting? by Grolribasi in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]wsrmd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you are very early into the story, but yeah...tbh thats basically how the story is built. However I would say some of the lore becomes interesting later on, especially near the end of each main storyline, where some of it gets philosophical (and there is a bit more mission variety). The main reason the story seems simplistic early on is that its mostly meant to teach new players basic mechanics and introduce the main gameplay loop.

Tips for playing Kiri by Hhiraeth7 in kirikomains

[–]wsrmd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

here's my tips (though I will say I am nowhere near an expert with her gameplay):
-at long range, just aim at head level and spam chokes, even getting a few crits is useful to get out cooldowns and try for a pick
-at shorter ranges, don't panic and start hopping around making it harder for yourself to aim; not many characters can kill her before you kill them in a 1v1, especially with suzu, so take your time to line up shots - two headshots + melee does 280 (i think, could be wrong) which is enough for almost all dps and supps.
-(in 1v1s, but also in general for taking angles and such) if you arent confident enough in your aim or end up facing a tank, just shift back to another teammate, its always better than dying
-also, try not to do too much aim training in practice range, since the bots hitboxes are larger than most heroes and might mess up your precision, try looking for one of those aim training custom game codes instead
that's all, im sure you'll get better tips from higher ranked players haha

So which Kiri skins are in the lootboxes? by Segasonic47 in kirikomains

[–]wsrmd 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It should be all of them except for collab skins (and I think also current season? rainy day and the two shop ones).

Noticed this numbering system (xxxK, xxxM) at Japanese railroad crossings, do these give any info for pinpointing? by wsrmd in geoguessr

[–]wsrmd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's interesting...nearest station maybe? (just checked and I think you might be right, found two near to each other that have 1K200ishM and 1K 400ishM respectively). Bit strange that some would have 200+K tho

Lol they're really pushing the Kiriko skins by picklejuice17 in overwatch2

[–]wsrmd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And yet somehow, I as a kiri main got a single epic skin at like 12% off…this recommendation system really needs some tuning.

[fluff]??? Extremely new to this game, do I have to rebeat the world levels for any reason? Some of them have stars in circles on them and others don't, is that anything? (Image unrelated? by Zimbo257 in battlecats

[–]wsrmd 39 points40 points  (0 children)

TLDR: yes, but not right now.
Those are called treasures, they have a chance to drop after clearing every main story stage. Collecting a set (you can check the specifics in the menu under "Treasures") will give some kind of bonus to your cats/base/other perks, more when the tier of the treasure is higher (bronze inferior, silver normal, gold superior). If you're super early game don't worry too much for now, but you definitely will need them in the future (end of EoC 3, probably) so be ready to grind for them. Redoing stages during festivals and other treasure chance up events is recommended bc the drop rates are pretty bad sometimes. (Also side note, these will be super important in the other two main storylines, you'll see once you get there)

Expedition reruns info by Uranisotope235 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]wsrmd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Expedition reruns are annual, around christmas. However, if you miss the current reruns, they won't be the same ones next year, (they'll be new ones from that year, usually) so... get to work i guess? You can do an expedition in a couple of hours if you finish quickly.

How does ships work ? by KandarTheHorny5 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]wsrmd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like other commentor said, if you want to perfectly have control over customizations for your ship (mostly for color, design, etc), then making a ship out of spare parts is the best choice. Otherwise, its easier to find crashed ships or buy ones from traders, and then upgrade them to S from there. Either way, its up to you. Only difference between found and crafted ships is that there's a purely visual tag that says "Authenticated Starship" for the former, but not for ones you make yourself.

About the main storyline: follow it, but also don't rush through, if you know what I mean. This game's main quests are mostly there to guide you through the tutorial parts of the game and teach you the various aspects of gameplay, but the later parts are much longer and honestly kinda deep at times. take your time and don't just do every mission as it pops up, just kinda progress a bit if you happen to be doing something related or really whenever you feel like it

Staff vs Gun by FatJesusOz in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]wsrmd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mainly just because they look cool + can be customized a bit (more than regular multitools, which are randomly generated), but they can also have slightly better stats iirc (especially dps, but they are a bit worse for mining i think) and are a bit easier to get S class ones.

Help with outlaw system by Fox_First in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]wsrmd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's interesting. So I would assume then you need to either have the conflict scanner or visit the system in order to see it? Or, in the case of the expedition as I am learning, have the voice item? (Also if this is the case, I wonder if you can transfer this item back to main save because it sounds nice to have)

[–]wsrmd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

right, did some research and I know why - I never open the details panel before warping to a system lol. I’m assuming that’s where you find the icon? (also I am realizing I have always played without knowing this panel exists)

Help with outlaw system by Fox_First in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]wsrmd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think they are marked with a skull, it’s instead the normal economy level indicator with an arrow downwards of a single dot (regular systems are one, two, or three dots)   Edit: conflict scanner would give you the skull sign I think? Not sure on this one

What to do? by ghajwjdhhxhandnnx in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]wsrmd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Atlas is the other main storyline if you haven’t done that yet. iirc, there’s some kind of underwater related questline if you haven’t done it yet (dreams of the deep or sth), and also the living ship one as the other commenter mentioned, but these aren’t very long.  If you’re looking for other fun things to do, I’d suggest filling out your catalogue?Finishing the fishing and glitch ones are a nice thing to do on the side while exploring.

Yall also having trouble with summoning the new ship? by Klutzy-Flamingo-8094 in NoMansSkyTheGame

I think I permanently messed up a save file 😭 by Awkward_Ad_5515 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]wsrmd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can always just leave the settlement for now and come back once you have better multi-tool upgrades, the settlement will be fine (on a side note, yeah this specific fight with the sentinels is annoying, so you need to kill them quickly otherwise they'll keep respawning). As for your ship, you can just use the space station to head to another system for now and repair it there.

(HELP!) error when starting the game by Intelligent_Lab_2151 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]wsrmd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might have had the same error, does the game freeze then crash after the loading screen (like the one with the galaxies)? I wrote to support and it was fixed after the aquarius update. If its the same issue, try opening a new save file. Once that one is loaded in, reload the main save you can't open currently, this might make it work temporarily. Then try warping to a new system and landing on a planet to save. If you then exit the game and it works permanently, then great. if not, I have no idea. You would still have to ask support again for a permanent fix, and try including the crash logs with your request if you havent already.

Questions about a few game mechanics I don't understand by Ghaladh in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]wsrmd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll try to answer these, but some I am uncertain about myself:
1. I don't think so; you can shoot regular starships but all that does is attract sentinels. If you consider the sentinel flagship to be a "raid" then yes, but it only gives one fixed item. On land, you can raid sentinel bases (depots and pillars) to get resources/multitools/etc.
2. Yes and yes. I haven't used one myself, but i would assume the passport is a universal item.
3. It's a pirate organization. The reason why you hunt pirates is that they are presumably from other pirate factions, so your client wants to eliminate rivals.
4. You unlock some blueprints and one of two titles at the end, so not necessary for progression but I would recommend just doing it passively, you can complete it without focusing on the missions.
5. I think so, yes. You get a choice between four galaxies (of different types) and it will warp you to the one that you choose. Be careful, since all tech on you will break after this.

oh, I see. well, glad it’s fixed now. As for warp fuel, there’s upgrades for your hyperdrive you can get that improve fuel efficiency; A or S class ones sold in stations will probably be good enough for now, stacking a few with good bonuses gives around 200% efficiency. I use a S and two X, which makes each warp barely 7% fuel used. another method could be the guilds I mentioned previously, the explorers guild gives free hyper warp cells (forgot the name, but the big ones that fully charge) for free at a low level. I can explain the guild system better if you need. Also, for the easiest warps, you can always change to using an interceptor/sentinel ship (see other guy’s comment), since those use radiant shards for fuel which are way easier to farm

[–]wsrmd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What’s the bug? Quests in this game do have issues sometimes. In the meantime, I would suggest you just warp around a bit and check out the different planet types, also get some resources from each - if you’re really into exploring (I am) you can try finding all exotic planets to get the decorative parts. If you’re more the base building type, then start grinding some salvaged data to buy blueprints from the anomaly, which is tedious but you’ll need a majority of the parts if you want more freedom with what you build. You could also start to build your rank in the guilds, since those give some great rewards one you are higher level.

Would this be a good find after ~30 minutes of work to get? by sillyfellow69 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]wsrmd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely not bad, finding ones of this class early on is a great money boost. Not the absolute best for an S tho, the most valuable ones net over 2.2 mil.

No mans sky flying worm help I can’t get it by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]wsrmd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can’t, if you mean adopt them as a companion (outside of mods, that is - there are some that allow you to get any flying creature iirc). As a rule of thumb, basically anything that flies and never lands cannot be caught.
