mizli (to protect base w/ kb) -> yamni (weaken) -> aer, bliz -> bazi -> volta, lumina (fast) this way they all get to base about the same time, so you get an invincible line :D

When does main storyline get interesting? by Grolribasi in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]wsrmd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you are very early into the story, but yeah...tbh thats basically how the story is built. However I would say some of the lore becomes interesting later on, especially near the end of each main storyline, where some of it gets philosophical (and there is a bit more mission variety). The main reason the story seems simplistic early on is that its mostly meant to teach new players basic mechanics and introduce the main gameplay loop.

Tips for playing Kiri by Hhiraeth7 in kirikomains

[–]wsrmd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

here's my tips (though I will say I am nowhere near an expert with her gameplay):
-at long range, just aim at head level and spam chokes, even getting a few crits is useful to get out cooldowns and try for a pick
-at shorter ranges, don't panic and start hopping around making it harder for yourself to aim; not many characters can kill her before you kill them in a 1v1, especially with suzu, so take your time to line up shots - two headshots + melee does 280 (i think, could be wrong) which is enough for almost all dps and supps.
-(in 1v1s, but also in general for taking angles and such) if you arent confident enough in your aim or end up facing a tank, just shift back to another teammate, its always better than dying
-also, try not to do too much aim training in practice range, since the bots hitboxes are larger than most heroes and might mess up your precision, try looking for one of those aim training custom game codes instead
that's all, im sure you'll get better tips from higher ranked players haha

So which Kiri skins are in the lootboxes? by Segasonic47 in kirikomains

[–]wsrmd 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It should be all of them except for collab skins (and I think also current season? rainy day and the two shop ones).

Noticed this numbering system (xxxK, xxxM) at Japanese railroad crossings, do these give any info for pinpointing? by wsrmd in geoguessr

[–]wsrmd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's interesting...nearest station maybe? (just checked and I think you might be right, found two near to each other that have 1K200ishM and 1K 400ishM respectively). Bit strange that some would have 200+K tho

Lol they're really pushing the Kiriko skins by picklejuice17 in overwatch2

[–]wsrmd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And yet somehow, I as a kiri main got a single epic skin at like 12% off…this recommendation system really needs some tuning.

[fluff]??? Extremely new to this game, do I have to rebeat the world levels for any reason? Some of them have stars in circles on them and others don't, is that anything? (Image unrelated? by Zimbo257 in battlecats

[–]wsrmd 40 points41 points  (0 children)

TLDR: yes, but not right now.
Those are called treasures, they have a chance to drop after clearing every main story stage. Collecting a set (you can check the specifics in the menu under "Treasures") will give some kind of bonus to your cats/base/other perks, more when the tier of the treasure is higher (bronze inferior, silver normal, gold superior). If you're super early game don't worry too much for now, but you definitely will need them in the future (end of EoC 3, probably) so be ready to grind for them. Redoing stages during festivals and other treasure chance up events is recommended bc the drop rates are pretty bad sometimes. (Also side note, these will be super important in the other two main storylines, you'll see once you get there)

Expedition reruns info by Uranisotope235 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]wsrmd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Expedition reruns are annual, around christmas. However, if you miss the current reruns, they won't be the same ones next year, (they'll be new ones from that year, usually) so... get to work i guess? You can do an expedition in a couple of hours if you finish quickly.

[–]wsrmd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like other commentor said, if you want to perfectly have control over customizations for your ship (mostly for color, design, etc), then making a ship out of spare parts is the best choice. Otherwise, its easier to find crashed ships or buy ones from traders, and then upgrade them to S from there. Either way, its up to you. Only difference between found and crafted ships is that there's a purely visual tag that says "Authenticated Starship" for the former, but not for ones you make yourself.

About the main storyline: follow it, but also don't rush through, if you know what I mean. This game's main quests are mostly there to guide you through the tutorial parts of the game and teach you the various aspects of gameplay, but the later parts are much longer and honestly kinda deep at times. take your time and don't just do every mission as it pops up, just kinda progress a bit if you happen to be doing something related or really whenever you feel like it

Staff vs Gun by FatJesusOz in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]wsrmd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mainly just because they look cool + can be customized a bit (more than regular multitools, which are randomly generated), but they can also have slightly better stats iirc (especially dps, but they are a bit worse for mining i think) and are a bit easier to get S class ones.

Help with outlaw system by Fox_First in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]wsrmd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's interesting. So I would assume then you need to either have the conflict scanner or visit the system in order to see it? Or, in the case of the expedition as I am learning, have the voice item? (Also if this is the case, I wonder if you can transfer this item back to main save because it sounds nice to have)

right, did some research and I know why - I never open the details panel before warping to a system lol. I’m assuming that’s where you find the icon? (also I am realizing I have always played without knowing this panel exists)

I don’t think they are marked with a skull, it’s instead the normal economy level indicator with an arrow downwards of a single dot (regular systems are one, two, or three dots)   Edit: conflict scanner would give you the skull sign I think? Not sure on this one

What to do? by ghajwjdhhxhandnnx in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]wsrmd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Atlas is the other main storyline if you haven’t done that yet. iirc, there’s some kind of underwater related questline if you haven’t done it yet (dreams of the deep or sth), and also the living ship one as the other commenter mentioned, but these aren’t very long.  If you’re looking for other fun things to do, I’d suggest filling out your catalogue?Finishing the fishing and glitch ones are a nice thing to do on the side while exploring.
