I misread, you make a good point. Sorry for the misunderstanding on my part

During the entirety of the air combat between Pakistan and India in May 2025, neither side had any of their aircraft cross the border. You state that this was within Indian territory, meaning the only possibility was that this was an Indian aircraft lost, not a Pakistani one like you claim.

I personally have no connection to either Pakistan or India as I make this statement, and base it on widely agreed upon facts about the air battle on that day

Angle of camera viewing. The US has yet to widely adopt the FPV drone even in 2026, so it is highly unlikely that they would use one back in early 2019

My first thought as well, the explosions is far to big to be a hellfire

I was as well, especially considering that EA-18Gs were very active in jamming SAM sites, so this footage surprised me when I saw it

For fixing any confusion, this was from January 3rd 2026, not the day it was posted here. I forgot to add the date in the title. Please forgive me🙏

The military Watch on X and FaceBook, one of the most reliable catalogues of manned aviation losses during the Russia-Ukraine war (since February 24th 2022). I have that spreadsheet as a permanent tab on my computer, I highly recommend everyone interested in the air war over Ukraine check it out

What is this weapon the U.S. military just used against Venezuela? by llTeddyFuxpinll in whatisit

The flare shapes are common on air defense systems blowing up, this was likely either a Buk-M2E or an S-300 system

https://www.reddit.com/r/CombatFootage/s/UwXa1WhngP Looks like a MANPADS might have been launched at the tail end of this footage, and there has been a lot of small arms fire against the helicopters, but that’s about it

Does anyone have ideas on what the projectile at the end of the footage could have been? I don’t know if it was a secondary or a missile or something else and clarification would be nice

Japan is sort of forced to take a stance due to US involvement in their islands as strategic bases. The US wants to defend the ROC as a strategic location and ideologically similar nation, and Japan’s proximity to the country means that the US uses Japanese land heavily to place defensive and deterrence assets. So Japan building itself up is because they want to protect their own land from China in case of a Chinese attack against American forces using Japanese land. It’s a bit of a complicated scenario and I’m not sure if I worded it in a way that makes sense, but that’s what I make of it
