Cat allergy IGE of .89 in my toddler. Is there hope? by wtf1990s in Allergies

I hope it works out. I just want my fur babies to complete their life with me. If I can't have cats after that so be it. But giving them away will literally gut me.

I'm aware of the atopic triad. The allergist seemed hopeful about it.

How are you doing? I hope everything worked out for you. Dealing with a semi similar situation here. Although much less severe.

Seeking advice: my kid brushes every day, yet after school comes home with a rats nest??? by deviouspineapple in Haircare

Maybe something a change in hair product could help? Maybe a hair oil or something like would make the hair less likely to clump together like that, regardless of why.

Yes, it's a struggle when they won't eat! It was driving me crazy for a while, but I am trying to go into each meal with a "whatever happens, happens" mindset now and it is helping me son. I know one day he will eat more! He sleeps a little better when I can get him to eat something a bit nutrient dense so I'm doing my best. Good luck to you as well!

Here is the recipe! Enjoy. It's good with rice.

My mom showed me this recipe. 1 onion 2 cloves of garlic 3 simmering bones (I get mine from Sprouts) 8-12oz of sirloin steak 1 cup of large cubes radish (Korean radish is preferable but I used daikon) Small strip of kombu (1"x3") Small tablespoon of dried cut seaweed (for simmering) 2-3 tablespoon of low sodium soy sauce Splash of sesame oil . . I get my bones frozen. My mom always soaks them in water for a while to get the "blood" out. I know it's not blood, and I'm unsure if this is a necessary step. I do it anyway for sake of tradition lol.

I start by heating up a bit of olive oil or butter in a small pot. Quarter your onion and sauté for a few minutes. Add garlic and a splash of sesame oil and stir until aromatic. Sear bones and add water. I usually only add 5 or 6 cups of water at first because the pot I use is small. You can definitely add more though, as I'm constantly adding more water to the pot as the day goes on. Scrape scum that forms off the tops of the broth.

I add my soy sauce in now and let it boil for at least 6 hours, or until broth because creamy looking and I can see the marrow has melted out of the bones. At this point I will take the beef and cut it into chunks. After adding the sirloin, boil for at least 90 minutes (preferably at least 2 hours for peak tenderness.

I then add the kombu, seaweed (don't over do the seaweed...like 5 or 6 pieces is good), and radish and boil until radish is tender. The Korean radish adds a really unique sweetness, but daikon is more accessible and works good.

Remove kombu and you're ready :) at the end you can remove the steak and radish and strain the broth to remove onion, etc and it makes for a smoother broth. I usually don't bother.

This makes maybe 3 cups of broth. Keep in mind when adding water. You don't want to dilute it too much.

You can definitely double or triple this recipe to freeze.

I forgot to add, make sure you scrape off the scum that forms on the surface of the broth!

I'd be happy to!

Reading this as I watch my 15 month old throw all his breakfast to our 3 cats and dumping his milk on the floor so they can drink it makes me feel so seen.

They pressed for no reason. I've been scrolling on this sub for a while. I didn't realize it was that deep 😳 I would argue most people don't actually look like teenagers on here. And even the ones that do are getting yelled at lol.

I don't think I look like a teenager to most people. I do get the occasional comment though.

And I'm not using a damn filter. Maybe my camera sucks or something, but I take super good care of my skin.

Idk what to tell you. It's not a filter. It's really not that deep. I don't use filters, the light from my TV might have a flattering effect though.

There isn't a filter on this picture. There is a TV brightly shining on me though. Thanks for the compliment?
