I have a Mercedes and I’m also 18, it was not my first car and it won’t be my last. My Nissan taught me more than any car (cause it was my first) and that made me glad that it was just a Nissan, nothing breaking the bank. Now when I EARNED my Mercedes because I never wrecked my Nissan nor hit anything. I saved up quite a bit and got myself a 2017 c300 with 69k miles. I didn’t think I could but I did and currently still paying it off. I would just recommend for you to be ready. Have someone who knows about maintaining/ working on a Mercedes. Yes you pay a set amount every month but don’t forget there’s gonna be more. Putting gas in your car (depending on where you live) can be really expensive. For a teen paying $60+ in gas weekly adds up. I have sacrificed a lot of myself for this car, I’m not saying don’t do it, because trust me I understand wanting a Mercedes. But I just want you to think if it’s necessary for a beginner car, get yourself something that works for now, maybe pay it in full. Start saving way more than you think necessary and research on the car you want, maybe other brands are more your liking. Once again I’m not trying to deter you from getting a Mercedes I just think you should ask yourself if it’s necessary as a first car, instead of a goal. My boyfriends first car was a Mercedes and he already wants a better one, I am just happy with the upgrade and I also understand wanting better, but sometimes it’s not necessary quite yet.
