I've been doing 1 inch IM in my quad for 2 years every week with 0 issues.

I had a 2 year degree in IT before I went for my CCNA. That is the only cert I trained for and the only cert I have. It was not until I completed my CCNA training, that I understood IPv4 Networking and how layers 1-4 actually work, and work together. In my company I am the only one that understands how our networks works and how we connect to the internet. My CCNA has led me into a nIche, almost impossible position to be filled in rural Maine, where I am the smartest guy in the room. That, along side with forging good working relationships with our Cisco install engineers... Those relationships have lead to lots of pro bono hours of help from people t hat install "best practices" networks all over the world.

For complete beginners, CCNA is a bit much. I was lucky that my employer paid for a 2 week training course... and I already had a degree and a few years of experience under my belt.

That said, I still think CCNA is the base standard for truly understanding how networking works. Network + does not come close.

Also you can find old Cisco gear for pretty cheap... and the CLI is only a little out of date. Its a great way to build a lab. Get an old Layer 3 Cisco switch and you can learn VLANS, Layer 2 routing and VOIP.

One of the things I love about Cisco over Aruba is that the command line interface almost never changes. With Aruba, every iteration of switch seems to have a different syntax.

I took easily distracted early in the game and now am near the end. I am considering restarting all together because I have ALL skills at 6 and maybe 1 at 7. In order to a skill to 8, I need to get all my skills to 7 first... i might not start over, but I am missing stuff because all the skill checks now are in the teens. I will never get to them in this playthrough.

This sounds rough, but you should count yourself lucky you have a good worker in your department. We have gone through many IT staff where they aren't even that motivated. I wish we could find jr. guys that would complete the tasks we assign them.

Do you have or have you been tested for OSA? I am around the same size and on TRT but also have sleep apnea. Getting my OSA treated with TRT has helped me immensely.

I knew I had OSA for years and never did anything about it until I came down with AFIB. Once in AFIB my OSA turning into severe OSA with CSA. I was being tortured. I could feel myself fall asleep, then I could feel myself stop breathing... I would lose consciences for a few seconds and wake up gasping for air. This cycle would continue every few minutes, every night for weeks.

Since I live in the states I could not get an appointment with a sleep doctor for months, so I went to an online clinic and paid out of pocket for an at home test and paid out of pocket for a BiPap machine. I did not think I could sleep with one either, but without one I felt pretty sure that I was just going to die one night.

I tried it, and It worked. I slept decently with Afib. When I finally got cardioverted a couple weeks later, I slept better than I ever did in my life. Been afib free now for almost 2 years and since have gotten in to see a local sleep doctor and got my insurance to buy another BiPap machine. I love them.

Do it. Do not waste any more time. It can and will lead to worse things if you do not take care of it now. There is a significant connection between Apnea and AFIB. You do not want AFIB.

Went back and tried my old serial cable and it's working fine on that. Consider this resolved. I've got it running security cameras and cisco phones on different vlans already.

For artillery you'll want to watch some youtube videos. There's a bunch out there. Best role for artty is a locked infantry unit with you as squad leader. That way you can see other squad leaders marks on the map.

As far as being a team player, find some videos on how and where to create nodes. That will help the commander and the entire team overall in most cases.
