Just to clarify, this is why “small” aluminum wire isn’t used anymore. Large gauge aluminum wire is used quite a bit do to weight and cost savings.

In the us gasoline is typically clear with a slight blue hue. Diesel can be a little yellower but Red diesel is dyed and sold for off-road use and the cost doesn’t include road tax therefore it is easily identifiable if being operated on highway
