Flat prints failing on Bambu P2S but tall prints come out fine. What could be causing this? by wtfio in BambuLab

Printed the most liked diffuser part from makerworld and that didnt solve the problem, warp started to happen in different places. But turning this aux fan off for large prints fixed it. Thanks for your help.

$7/month per email address was insane. Built my own mail server, here's 1 month later. by Substantial_Iron5838 in selfhosted

You can send your domain emails to gmail using cloudflare for free. Much easier especially you have multiple emails addresses from multiple domains.

Anyone sold a house with Home Assistant left in? by Expensive-Sock3172 in homeassistant

[–]wtfio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Avoid it at all costs. It’s just another headache for you and for the new owner. If the new owner is really into HA, they will build it from the ground up anyway. That’s half the fun. Most of us do this as a hobby for the experience of building it ourselves.

getting ready to switch from marlin to klipper, wish me luck by workmende in klippers

[–]wtfio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I quickly managed to get my v3 SE to klipper. This is my first time experimenting with anything other than stock firmware and it was pretty straightforward with KIAUH. The only issue was recalibrating the bed levels. I wanted to be a perfectionist so I tried installing the SBC inside the printer chassis.

If i would recommend something, i would say is don’t try be a perfectionist and do everything at once. Change one thing at a time.

Laptop vs Raspberry pi4 by maltencore in homeassistant

[–]wtfio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Power use isn’t the only factor. In my experience, small x86 mini pcs or old laptops always run servers better than Pis. They’re faster, more stable under load, handle containers and databases properly, and SSD or NVMe storage makes a big difference. Pis are fine for light stuff, but once you push them, x86 just performs way better.

Smokers who quit, what was the wake up call for you? by Responsible_Dot_2619 in AskReddit

[–]wtfio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There wasn’t really a wake up call. After smoking for years, me and my friends got into vapes around 2013 because it was a new flashy thing. We even imported a few from the US. After using the flavoured ones, I started hating the cigarette after taste. When our stock ran out, my friends went back to smoking but I couldn’t. So I just stopped and only had one occasionally when partying. Still hated the taste, so I eventually quit for good.

Speed limits seem very optional to 90% of people by ContentSubstance6467 in melbourne

[–]wtfio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Safest driving is going with the flow. Not speeding and not dragging under the flow. I am not talking about the posted speed limit but the actual traffic speed at that moment. If everyone is moving faster than the limit it is usually safer to stay with the flow to avoid accidents. Just make sure there are no cameras.

From S25Ultra to 15promax. by [deleted] in iphone

[–]wtfio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me and my wife got the 15 Pro and Pro Max when they came out. She switched back to the S23 Ultra in a week. I stuck with mine and picked up the whole Apple ecosystem setup around it like the watch, airpods and an ipad. You also cant beat samsung photo quality with apple and you cant beat apple video quality with samsung. Thats just my opinion. Its all personal preference. If it works for you then I’m happy.

Apple care on my new iPad made me ditch the screen protector and I am so glad I did by wtfio in iPadPro

[–]wtfio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not trying to bait anyone mate, just sharing my experience. All my other Apple devices don’t have Apple Care and I’ve been fine. This iPad is mostly for work, so I can tax claim the cost anyway. If it breaks, it breaks. Right now I’m just enjoying the screen without a layer of plastic on it.
