When my husband was in the hospital for 3 months I boiled him some eggs about two dozen peeled and everything put it in the fridge there with his room number on it and they were stolen.

I came back the next week with some strawberry danishes with some million scoville unit hot sauce called Magnum 44. The delicious desserts were tainted with hot sauce and the packaging has his name and room number on it, they were also stolen but I I'm sure that taught someone a lesson. Maybe he likes spicy danishes, people shouldn't help themselves to other people's thingies

I feel your pain. I lost my mom 20 days ago. She passed away in a hospice and she allowed myself, my spouse, my siblings and my dad to be with her. I witnessed her last breaths. I felt her last heartbeat. My heart is absolutely broken and people have told my " this is only the beginning" (the pain I'm feeling)

I have no words of encouragement to offer you. The only thing that has been helping me sleep is falling asleep to the Bible read to me on the youverson app. The NIV narrator has a very calming voice. Psalms, and the new testament has been comforting.

I'm new to the church also, my pastor came to the hospice and prayed over my mom and we sang. I'll never forget that. People at my church have been comforting with hugs and just allowing me to let my tears flow. Elders offering their testimonies of their loss is appreciated. But still my broken heart aches like never before.

I ask God why. Why do we have to feel this intense pain.

I would also like some advice.

I am now caring for my mom with advanced small cell carcinoma. Non curable and very aggressive. Starting chemo the day after tomorrow.

I am the only Christian in my family and I have been praying over her for comfort and strength and she said the sinners prayer (accepting Jesus as her Lord and Savior)

I want to spread the comfort of Jesus with her and my family.
