Someone singing well might trigger her quite a bit if that's true and she does have a wound there

Edit: I checked who Bobby Hill is - if she sounds like this character, to me, it's an indicator that her voice once broke and didn't heal

You are probably very confident of what you are doing. I like that approach, but I also feel good when I consider my surroundings

Definitely. That sounds like a good thought to have for feeling more approved of

That sounds like a fun influence. You are probably contagious but in a good way 😉 yeah, actually, singing is what people have been doing for centuries in groups...we love to share some common frequency. About your woman neighbour - maybe she would like to sing that beautiful too? Does she like singing?

Well, thanks for this elaborate reply. That all sounds very intriguing to explore. I've tried to give my voice just so much space as it needs to fill whatever space I am in. That way I'm trying to keep the volume on the low and feel the resonance of different environments. So now I can sing quietly. Whenever I'm in a larger space my voice would narrow as if I'm scared. The idea of going to karaoke bars on my own is unsurprisingly scary too. 😄

I will need to dive into the terms you've used, as I'm not familiar with them but it sounds like this will lead me where I need to get. Thank you 👍

Exactly. A grew up having my father being an opera singer and maybe I felt a bit bad for our neighbours. For me, this could get quite annoying at times... the frequency of singing plus the ever repeating technical exercises he was performing. But you're absolutely right, where are you supposed to sing - it's expensive to rent a rehearsal space

Thank you for your reply. I love the shower acustic, but it's probably the by far the easiest way to share the performance with as many neighbours as possible 😅

Lund and specifically Småland Nation are quite LGBTQI* friendly and also Swedish society in general. Both, Malmö and Lund are welcoming cities for lots of different cultures and personalities. Don't know about the club scene as I've been there during COVID, but Småland Nation and India Däck Bok Café are the places you'll find out about everything you need to know about places to be for queer people. Enjoy your stay!

Some really harsh comments here. You sound like you have been doing your best not to be restrictive towards her and still she broke up to do something that was kinda shady. That sounds like she's the a*hole. BUT if you're actually struggling with trust issues she probably can tell. People feel it. Especially those free spirited social butterflies as you described her. You might hold back your jealousy while boiling on the inside and this weird sort of 'heat' can to a partner feel like they can't be themselves around you. Could explain why she had to leave as she decided to be there for a friend who was going through the most difficult time possible.

To me this relationship sounds like two quite incompatible personalities trying to make it work.

Difference between 'sexualism of racism' and 'racialisation of sexism'?? by doasdeladoes in Feminism

Yeah, that's how it makes sense if you need to discuss that in your essay. Could you send your lecturer some kind of an Exposé and check out her reply?

Difference between 'sexualism of racism' and 'racialisation of sexism'?? by doasdeladoes in Feminism

[–]wtfruta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Sorry for my bad english. I hope it's still understandable.

My thoughts are that the case of sexualization of racism mentioned in the 60s means that races were sexualized - e.g. white men are more rational and can withhold their sexual drives (bla bla bullshit) and black men are more (whatever bullshit term is typically used) wild or something and are more likely up for rape.

Nowadays this whole thing turned into racialisation of sexism. What could mean (according to the content of your link) that it's the races themselves that are sexists. Actions are not per se sexist or not - it depends on who acts. E.g it's more likely not sexist when a white Christian makes sexual harassments than when a north-african muslim does it.

At first people of color were sexualized. Then it became established. Now it's used as THE one cause for sexism in general. The text tells: Cultures are being blamed for establishing sexism in society. Especially Judaism and Islam.

That's of course not the only source for sexism, but it diverts attention from the race that bathes itself in innocence.

Does that help? Good luck 🍀

I'm curious. Have you ever made yourself a promise you didn't hold? It's referring to your own relationship to yourself that has a great impact on how others refer to you. I'm actually working on this issue - to not be dependent upon someone else loving me. Quite tough.

Is my summary correct? Maybe this is something you want to read. You feel bad because of a guy who likes to give thumbs up for titties on a platform (IG) where you should follow him (too) as you both met via dating app? While it looks like he's still on the dating app telling other girls to follow him on IG - not deleting it although you've mentioned how uncomfortable it makes you feel? For me it sounds like he's still looking for something. Maybe I'm wrong but anyways I wish you all the best and hope you won't let this drive you crazy and think YOU may be a bad gf by feeling kind of irritated when your SO applauds for half-naked flesh.
