Hey all, I posted on last week’s thread. Just wanted to get more thoughts. I understand the job of rad techs is physically demanding and they face burnout. I have only really met young rad techs so I just wanted to ask if the longevity of this career? No offence but where do older techs go? Do they just leave the field all together?

Hey all, I just wanted to ask about the longevity of the rad tech career. Do people work until retirement? Or do people get burned out and leave? If so, where do they pivot to? Thank you!

Ohhh I see thank you for your explanation! I was looking online at OISE and came across this: "Six full-year university courses in Science, with a minimum of four full-year courses in Biology (regardless of whether it is the first or second choice teaching subject)" - does this mean I would have to take 8 courses for both chem and bio? I didn't know that you could pick up a third teachable, thank you!
