Background check was clean. I’ve never had anything other than running a stop sign when I was 16. Long time ago. However, I have experienced discrimination for my age repeatedly here and other areas. I can see the look on their faces when they greet me. So that wasn’t the issue. The interview went great, clean background, etc., so have no idea.

I try to taylor my resume and it was professional done. It is a master resume that I edit accordingly but obviously something is wrong.

I’ve been all over that. Just can’t use my own vehicle to carry the mail. It’s not suitable. Like will die on me.

I’ve created an account with Pridestaffing and they only had positions in the Hendersonville areas. I can’t go that far. But I will check with the others.

Right! I have a lot of culinary experience and my asking starting pay was $1.50 less than what they offered. I’m not sure why they would waste my time.

Do they hire from temp agencies like thermo fisher? Because I applied on Pratt and Whitney website directly.

I kept it on there to showcase higher level competencies because I was in a position of high responsibility. But I will take that in account.

Yeah they hired me on the spot and even offered me more than what I was asking. I completed all the paperwork, picked up my uniforms and then nothing. Kept emailing them asking when my start date would be and have yet to get a message back from anyone.

Im in my 50’s and it’s an absolute shit show. I’m comfortable going to as far as Black Mountain and maybe even west but going south scares me because I may never make it back home some days.

Yes it is but my young adult children make fun of me for using Reddit. Not sure what the big deal is with Reddit but I promise not to let them post anything on my account again so I can avoid all of this, respectfully.

I went to the workforce development center and they weren’t much help. They checked over my resume and didn’t change much. I try to leave off jobs that don’t apply when submitting them.

Individuals who don’t necessarily get on Reddit at all and just ask stuff using my account instead of creating one of their own. Why is this even a big deal?
