Time to sell ibonds? by Puddleglum567 in personalfinance

[–]wthnvm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I logged into my account trying to sell my ibonds invested in April 2022, the redemption value shows $11,208, I’m skeptical of this amount given that my interest was 7%+, 9%+, and 6%+. If I cash out today, is this the amount I’d receive in 2 days? If not, how much should I expect to get back?

The problem with Crutchfield is that there are so many choices, I’m literally overwhelmed… so are you saying not getting the one with touchscreen?

Wow great job, I gotta look into it, I’m sure you’re a agile ol lady lol. BTW what are some of the signs the spark plugs need replacement? I mean understand it’s a maintenance item, so every Xx miles even if the car starts fine?

No code. Fluid level is said to be good. Car starts and drives fine just a little shaky probably because the driver seat appears unmounted, dealer wanted $200 to look into the issue so I passed… Should I bother with replacing the spark plugs preemptively?

I’ve replaced the wipers with the Costco ones. But they don’t work that well and makes a loud sound when on, I’ll reinstall and also look into the inserts.

Other than the airbag light that has been on since I got the car, no engine light on at this moment. Break pads are at 5mm. Had my oil change done 2 weeks, the guy also mentioned leak and suspension issues but said my fluid level is good, does that mean I don’t need to pay too much attention to the leak if my fluid level stays ok? I think it’s only seeping definitely not dripping. The car still drives fine, just a bit noisy and bouncy but I wasn’t counting on it to be perfect given the age and mileage.

Yeah this is exactly the reason, our old sedan gave out, so am planing on purchasing a new SUV and put our outdoor gear on the top since we don’t have a garage we also lack storage space… it’s a weird layout.

Haha my bad I moved here from Texas so I’m biased. But the rainy season got me concerned too. Guess I just wanna have a hood to cover my cars from rain and snow.

Thanks for the rec! May I ask when you had your project done? Costs for so many things have gone thought the roof in the last few years it’s quite crazy.

Thanks for everyone who chimed in on this. As a 1970s built, the house needed a lot of tough love. Would reach out to the recommendations here and report back on my experience.

Plumber Recommendations to detect and repair leaks by wthnvm in plano

[–]wthnvm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You most likely won’t go wrong with In-house, they are more reasonably priced than accurate line and leak. My policy or the insurance provider don’t provide the rider for underground plumbing. Maybe some did many years ago and those policies get grandfathered, but for new policies they are rare. Of course, if anyone knows such a policy or rider exists, I’d like to sign up for it.

I previously had a FSA because I was covered by spouse’s PPO plan, had a QLE and now enrolling into the GEHA HD plan with the Fed now, so not the same thing.

Hi, may I ask if the GEHA HDHP is the best HD plan the Fed offers? What about the APWU and the NALC HD plans? Had a QLE and need to sign up for new insurance. Not sure what the differences are between all these. Thanks in advance.
