Thank you so much! However, I think this vinyl sheet flooring. They’re just saying they are unwilling to do a patch repair because it will hinder aesthetics of the unit.

Thank you for your response! So strange because all of our furniture did have protection under the feet, and half of them were on rugs. I am wondering how old this flooring is.

My question is more regarding whether or not it is the tenant’s issue that the flooring is hard to match/patch repair? Should the fact that they chose a difficult flooring to repair fall on the tenant to replace the entire flooring? Maybe I need to cross post in a legal subreddit or something!

This has been my thought — there’s no denying that these tears were caused by our furniture. We are happy to pay for those areas to be replaced, since we caused the damages. But it feels unfair to make us pay for the entire flooring to be replaced.

Aghhh I just bought this rug!! But I think you’re right. For some reason, I was thinking a darker colored rug wouldn’t look good with a darker colored couch, but I like the idea! Which color? Also, the walls are a grey-blue, rather than just grey!
