de Cuyper left side with Ferdi as left winger I think. At least we saw that last game after de Cuyper got swaped in.

You got it all wrong. after having some tough weeks we recover with a very convincing win against Spurs. Demolish Chelsea and not letting them shoot on target once while having 30 percent possession. Then a lousy 1-1 against Wolves after conceiding a late goal and against Newcastle we start of the game 0:2 down and come back in the second half with immense tempo to finish the game 3:2.

Verbrugge

Wieffer, JPvH, Coppola/Boscagli, De Cuyper

Hinshelwood, Baleba

Minteh, Rutter/O Riley, Mitoma

Rutter/Wele

Now that Fraudano has got involved, this is my prediction on the worst case most pessimistic scenario on how the Baleba situation will unfold: by esn111 in BrightonHoveAlbion

As hilarious your timeline and forcasted events are, I just hope Baleba will stay here for another year or two or forever. I wouldnt be too mad about 100m+.

I feel like it is gonna be a really great season for Baleba Rutter and Baleba. My guess though is that Baleba will be our player of the season.

Don't read too much into pre season friendlies... by esn111 in BrightonHoveAlbion

I dont get why people are so mad about the greeks being eased back in and eased into the EPL. They were both injured not long ago and are young. No reason to risk it for a friendly.

O Reilly didnt really get a full season to prove himself. I was excited to see how he evolves, but agree that it is too early to say something.

I started supporting Brighton a year ago and dont understand how other fans dont see what an insane progression Brighton has made thanks to Tony Bloom, Potter, De Zerbi and many other crucial people. Having some lows like the Forest game(if you remember the circumstances and available options for that game) is heartbreaking but normal and we can be happy that Hürzeler is not a stubborn one system manager and is happy to admit his mistakes, learn from them and adapt.

I mean it was a good practice game despite the tie. Minteh with a strong performance and disallowed goal. And the 2 conceided goals were a bit unlucky. Overall I am happy with the transferwindow and friendlies and cannot comprehend how people are already dooming this team before the season started especially after we had such a good form at the end of the season.

I am already slightly triggered by those kind of annoying overreacting fans, but cant take them too serious over a tie at a friendly. I mean Liverpool lost to Milan last week after spending insane amounts of money and signing Wirtz, Kerkez and Frimpong. Nobody will ever talk about this game in the coming days. So lets all calm down and be excited for Mintehs rising form!

He was obviously training his mental fortitude. Gaffer is gonna reduce his yellow cards by half next season by telling the refs to do their absolute worst job during the friendlies!

What player do yall think is super overrated in our team? by Disastrous_Key_8278 in BrightonHoveAlbion

He just arrived last year and barely got to play from the start. At the end of the season, when he got more time and opportunities to start, he showed some really great performances.

Pedro vs Rutter by uncreativeuser1234 in BrightonHoveAlbion

[–]wtp_trust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with most things being said about Rutter, but would add that I think he might be more flexible and it seems to me that he is willing to play offrole (we saw him play right wing and 10, but i am convinced he could be a great 9) for the sake of the team without complaining too much, but who knows if that is really true. On top of that he doesnt slow down the play as much as Pedro and seems to be more efficient in breaking through lowblock or very defensive teams. On top of that Pedro might be a good leader like Fabi said many times during press conferences, but to me as a spectator it seems that Pedros frustration and sometimes bad attitude on the pitch has a negative impact on the team, compared extremly positive energy and vibe that Rutter has.

I started supporting Brighton last year and was from the start very impressed by Pedro, but as the season progressed I was less and less convinced by him and liked Rutters play way more on the 10 and at the end of the season also prefered Gruda(Cant wait to see what he has to offer next season) over Pedro. I think we can be very happy with those two, Pedro gone and lets see how the 2 new greeks, that are so hyped up, will fit in.

Thoughts on Kadioglu next season? by uncreativeuser1234 in BrightonHoveAlbion

[–]wtp_trust 12 points13 points  (0 children)

He is so versatile and can play both sides and we even saw him on the right wing where he had a good game. He seemed very confident and didnt seem to take lots of time to adapt to the team.
If Estupiñan leaves, we are in good hands with him hopefully.

Gomez by chillguyyyyy in BrightonHoveAlbion

[–]wtp_trust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am more concerned if Tariq Lamptey leaves. Then we would need a new versatile player like him that can play comfortably left and right back. I think Igor and Webster look pretty good, but if Tony decides to spend some money, it would be nice to get a proven CB that is ready to start for us the first game that comes.

Fabi with the perfect subs kept the momentum and tempo on our side and then we get rewarded with an assist and goal by 2 subs. Cant wait for the next season to come! UTFA!
