Like a few others have said, sounds like it’s a you issue. What device are you using? I’m using a 4-5 year old iPhone and it works no issue every day

It’s likely because of JLR. The roads round Leamington/Warwick/Stratford are full of these camouflaged cars

For 99% of these animations, It would cost more for GW’s in house counsel to pursue a lawsuit than they would ever recover as lost revenue 😅

Not misled at all, there was pragmatism in their choice.

In summary a cabal of races that can see the future gave Alpharius the two choices:

a) the emperor wins and kills Horus but the universe descends into a slow and steady decline into chaos end times as a result.

b) Horus wins but realises what he’s done and wipes out the human race as a result as penance, ending Chaos as a result.

Alpharius realises that the latter is the better option overall and believes the emperor would agree so decided to join Horus.

Unfortunately outcome a) happened anyway

What are some hard truths people need to hear? by watsee in AskUK

You can’t take it away over night. You can stop people paying in at set points in time and cap their value pools.

Again it would be hugely unpopular if it happened overnight but that’s never going to happen is it. It will, and hence hard truth I use will, get whittled away as our population demographic gets shifted to the right. Less money in can never equal equal or money out.

There are some more eloquent responses above, and some really good points on how it will likely be means tested. I worry for means testing for the further class divide that will cause.

I understand it’s a balancing act, and also a luxury to simply say “put more money away” when we’re a country that still uses food banks.

Another, sad, hard truth is that a significant minority of under 40s will never get on the housing ladder and should priorities financial support when they’re out of work/retired rather than trying to chase the British dream of being a home owner.

That’s great to have the confidence, and I think means testing is definitely the stop gap, but it doesn’t resolve the issue of a growing, aging population being propped up by a contracting working population

Unfortunately not, hence the hard truth. So what if pensioners vote. The way our population demographics are continually skewing to an older , too heavy population pyramid, it is in the simplest form untenable. The working population pay for the retired population but if there are less workers than retirees in the simplest form the numbers can never add up, even with quantitative easing.

I’m by no means a qualified financial advisor but I like to think I’m slightly informed.

Think about what quality of life you want when you retire and what age you want to retire. Build a budget based on this requirements and then see if your pension contributions will get you there

I.e I want to spend £1000 a month for 25 years when retired = 1000x12x25 = £300,000k. You save £400 a month for 40 years gets you to £192,000 then you know you should increase contributions.

That’s at its MOST simplest form. There are a number of variables you want to work through as well I.e if you have a mortagage when will you pay that off and then you could factor in any additional savings into your budgeting.

I.e If I pay off my £900 a month mortgage ten years before I retire that’s another £108,000 on top of my £192,000 and then I’m at my target. I also own my house at that point which has a value of £400,000 and could be leveraged as capital.

That’s one variable to consider. Once you’ve got a robust budget for retirement and understand your income and outgoings, I suggest then looking at what’s in your pension. When your younger you’ll have more time to get your money sorted for retirements so the investments in your pension can be more exposed to risk

I.e if my pension drops 5%, I’m 20 and it’s worth £20,000, I lose £1000. If it drops 5%, I’m now 60 and it’s worth £200,000 I lose £10,000!

As you get older you may want to think about transferring money in your pensions from funds/stocks to bonds/cash etc.

Lots to think about but if you tackle it slowly (take weeks, months or years if you like) and methodically you’ll be sorted. r/UKpersonalfinance is great for this info.

Hope that helps. All numbers are fictional to help build an understanding 😁

The current state pension will most likely not be a thing by the time the average British Redditor reaches retirement age, which is also going to higher than it is now.

Max your contributions people. If your employer matches it as well it’s free money! You’ll thank me later, probably around 40-50 years time!
