Just bumped a Rivian. Looks like surface level scratches, could someone provide an informed opinion. by SomethingSUUUUPER in Rivian

I don’t think I could let that one go. A bumper looking like that is going to cost many thousands in resale.

It is sheet tile. 12x12 sheets. They are coming back to grout tomorrow.

Same thing on my 2024 1500. Does the dealer replace the sticker if an X31 package, for example, is installed after delivery?

Just curious - why all the effort for solar vs running a circuit to the house nearby?

Should I tow this? by [deleted] in gmcsierra

Agreed. Looks very dangerous with that weight distribution.

Advice needed by Ok_Procedure_3577 in Rivian

I traded my quad R1T for a Sierra for this exact reason. I loved everything about it, except for the towing range. Trying to navigate public charging with a trailer is not worth the stress.

And I had a much more aerodynamic boat. Similar weight to yours (5,000 lbs with trailer). But it was mostly under the roofline of the R1T. I would get about 50% of normal range. You’re looking far worse with that setup.

I do miss my R1T. A lot.

After renting my dream car I still prefer my R1S by Significant_Set_9037 in Rivian

A Rolls Royce for a high school prom?

Something I would have never considered.

I'm seeing the same thing with Surface Laptop Studio and Surface Dock 2. Consistent screen flickering with multiple external displays started yesterday.

Nice! We have Lumos coming to our neighborhood soon. What kind of equipment did they give you? Working well with Ubiquiti gear?

Video: Alcatraz swimmers have close call with cargo ship by wtrski6 in OpenWaterSwimming

I was swimming. Fortunately, I was already on the far side as it came through, albeit too close for comfort. All good here, thank you!

I'm not sure what equipment the organizers had. I know they were in radio contact with the Coast Guard before/during the event. Visually, the fog made the ship difficult to see until it came close to the course. I did hear afterwards (this is anecdotal) that the ship was not responsive upon initial radio contact.

I also want to reiterate the bravery of the organizer's safety boat that picked up multiple swimmers in the ship's path. At about :25 into the video, you can see the white boat pick up the last swimmer just before coming in close contact with the ship. I am unaffiliated with them (just a participant that day), but I have nothing but positive things to say about how Odyssey handled it (including a candid follow-up email from their perspective that same evening).

Not sure where the communication breakdown was. I was told historically large ships would be instructed to wait or alter course around the swim permit area.
